Event #5: $30K GTD PKO Bounty 6-Max
Day 1 Started
The stakes have been raised for Thursday night's partypoker US Network Online Series Event #5: $30K GTD PKO Bounty 6-Max, with a $320 buy-in that each player will have split 50/50 between the prize pool and a starting bounty atop their heads.
With the Progressive Knockout format, that starting bounty will be compounded every time a player earns a knockout, immediately receiving half of their opponent's bounty while having the other half added to their own total bounty value. The tournament will play six-handed, further adding to the potential action and ability to play for stacks.
All withinin the state of New Jersey may get in on the fun across the three platforms of partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker.
Players receive 50,000 to start with blinds beginning at 150/300/40 and escalating every 10 minutes. Late registration with unilmited re-entries will remain open through Level 15 (2,500/5,000/625), closing at approximately 10:40 p.m. ET. Come Level 24 (12,000/24,000/3,000), levels will increase to 12 minutes apiece until a winner has been declared.
Monday's Event #2 was of similar stature, though with a smaller guarantee. In that event, Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken continued his partypoker US Network Online Series success, besting a field of 76 to earn $8,880 of the $22,800 overall prize pool.
Who will be the one to come out on top this time? Stay tuned to PokerNews to find out.
Level 1 has begun with blinds of 150/300 and an ante of 40, and four tables are already in play as 19 players are registered and ready to go. That number is expected to grow as the two-and-a-half-hour late registration period continues.
