WPT Online Borgata Series powered by partypoker US Network

"IReadYrSoul" has claimed the most recent title of the WPT Online Borgata Series powered by partypoker US Network, topping a field of 99 in the $100 R+A Event #2: $10,000 GTD.

The tournament nearly met its guaranteed prize pool in entries alone, adding another 76 rebuys and 60 add-ons to the tally over its two-and-a-half-hour rebuy and late-registration period. When the prize pool closed, $23,500 was set to be distributed over the top 14 places, a figure that more than doubled its guarantee.

Event #2 Results

Two-and-a-half more hours went by once the prize pool became official before play reached the money. David "TheKing411" Coleman and Alex "JinYang" Butcher began a series of six eliminations within the blink of an eye that brought about the bubble, which burst when "IReadYrSoul" knocked out "Bond18" with pocket queens to ace-nine suited.

Forty-five minutes later, "rule22" eliminated "BlckJck" in ninth place when their kings hit a set on the river to crack aces. "rule22" entered the final table with the chip lead with "IReadYrSoul" next in the counts. Both players had more than double the stack of the next-closest player.

One by one, the field was cut in half until four remained. Three full levels then went by before "IReadYrSoul" knocked out Event #1 champion "treetrap" with ace-king to ace-queen, only to eliminate Anthony "flawlessbinkage" Maio on the following hand after picking up pocket aces and holding to Maio's king-queen suited. Holding more than 90% of the chips in play, the heads-up match lasted only a couple of minutes before knocking out "rule22" by way of a nut flush on the river in an all-in preflop runout.

In Level 36 with blinds of 50,000/100,000 and an ante of 12,500, "rule22" jammed for 1.01 million and "IReadYrSoul" called.

"rule22" had their opponent dominated with a shot at a double shortly after play resumed from break. They found themselves sweating 12 outs to defeat plus another three to a chop as the flop came . Three more chop outs came on the , but the river was the one that made the tournament final as "IReadYrSoul" hit the nut flush and eliminated "rule22" from the tournament in second place for a payday of $4,089.

Meanwhile, "IReadYrSoul" has won Event #2 of the partypoker US Network WPT Online Borgata Series for $6,932. A full recap will be posted shortly.

In Level 36 with blinds of 50,000/100,000 and an ante of 12,500, Anthony “Flawlissbinkage” Maio shoved for 2.2 million in the small blind and quickly received a call from "IReadYrSoul" in the big blind.

Maio found an inopportune time to run into aces and the flop did not leave him with much excitement moving forward. He did pick up a sweat as the turn gave him eight outs to a backdoor flush draw, but none came on the river and he was eliminated from the tournament in third place.

Upon the completion of the hand, "IReadYrSoul" and "rule22" find themselves in a five-minute break before beginning their heads-up match with "IReadYrSoul" holding onto over 90% of the chips in play.

In Level 36 with blinds of 50,000/100,000 and an ante of 12,500, "treetrap" opened to 200,000 on the button and "IReadYrSoul" three-bet to 880,000 out of the big blind. "treetrap" four-bet jammedf or 3.6 million and "IReadYrSoul" quickly called.

No help came for treetrap as the board ran out , leaving their queen kicker second best to the king that was in their opponent's hand. Their fourth-place finish was good for $2,209.

In Level 35 with blinds of 45,000/90,000 and an ante of 11,250, "IReadYrSoul" raised to 207,000 on the button and was three-bet to 630,000 by "rule22" in the small blind. "IReadYrSoul" called and the flop fell . "rule22" made a continuation-bet of 697,000 and "IReadYrSoul" called.

The turn came and "rule22" bet 1.395 million. "IReadYrSoul" raised all in for 1.67 million and "rule22" called.

"IReadYrSoul" had flopped a flush but needed to fade the seven remaining spades in the deck that "rule22" had to hit a higher flush. The river complied and the pot was shipped their way, earning them a commanding lead as four-handed play continues.

In Level 32 with blinds of 30,000/60,000 and an ante of 7,500, action folded around to the small blind where "pay4medsch00l" jammed for 502,000 and was called by "IReadYrSoul" in the big blind.

"pay4medsch00l" was behind and the flop left them with nothing but backdoor outs. They picked up a bunch of them on the turn but missed it all on the river , winding up with nothing more than sixes up for a second-best hand that left them dry on chips to become the fifth-place finisher of the tournament.

In Level 32 with blinds of 30,000/60,000 and an ante of 7,500, Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken found himself at risk for his tournament life preflop from under the gun, having received action from "treetrap," who was in the big blind.

Vanauken needed to hit one of his two live cards and was unable to do so as a ten-high runout of left him no good to the eventual top pair, top kicker of his opponent. He was eliminated in sixth place, earning $1,269 for his efforts.

In Level 29 with blinds of 18,000/36,000 and an ante of 4,500, preflop action saw "a_stormy_knight" and "treetrap" get all of their chips into the middle. "a_stormy_knight" was at risk from middle position against "treetrap," who was under the gun.

In Level 29 with blinds of 18,000/36,000 and an ante of 4,500, action folded around to "BlckJck" in the small blind and they completed. "rule22" raised their option to 90,000 and "BlckJck" limp-reraised to 270,000. "rule22" came over the top to put "BlckJck" all in for 655,000 total and a call was quickly made.

The two players eventually and inevitably found stacks go into the middle in an unavoidable cooler situation. "BlckJck" was in great shape for the double as the flop and turn appeared. Unfortunately for them, the river completed the runout and improved "rule22" to a full house and eliminate "BlckJck" from the tournament as the ninth-place finisher.
