WPT Online Borgata Series powered by partypoker US Network

Welcome back to PokerNews coverage of the WPT Online Borgata Series, brought to you by the partypoker US Network. The second day and second event of the series sees a $10,000 GTD NLH R+A on the schedule, featuring a $109 buy-in.

Anybody within the state of New Jersey may get in on the action across any of the three platforms of partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker.

Unlimited rebuys ($100 each) are available within the first 15 levels of the tournament, all of which will last 10 minutes in length. Late registration will remain open for the entirety of the rebuy period, at which point it will close and all players in contention will have the opportunity to add-on for another $100. All entries and rebuys get players 50,000, while the add-on will put another 75,000 onto all players' stacks who wish to do so.

Levels will increase to 12 minutes in length upon the closure of the rebuy and late-registration periods at the beginning of Level 16. A detailed look at the betting structure has been provided below.

WPT Online Borgata Series Schedule

The WPT Online Borgata Series, which runs from September 13-21, is comprised of 10 events with more than $275,000 in preliminary and post-lim guarantees. The highlighted tournaments will be live reported here on PokerNews.

Borgata Online Pro Daniel "leinad" Buzgon is among those to have entered during the first level of play in the evening (150/300/40). With just a couple of minutes left, the number of players in the field has grown to 30, and that number is expected to continue throughout the two-and-a-half-hour registration period.

In Level 4 with blinds of 300/600 and an ante of 75, Alex “JinYang” Butcher opened under the gun and received a call from "GiantGenius" in the small blind. Action went heads up to a flop of and "GiantGenius" checked. Butcher made a continuation-bet of 2,400 and "GiantGenius" check-raised to 6,300. Butcher called.

The turn came and "GiantGenius" continued, firing another 12,600 forward. Butcher called, bringing the total pot up to 41,700, just barely shy of the 42,500 left in Butcher's stack.

The river fell and "GiantGenius" thought for a couple of seconds before shoving all in, effectively putting Butcher to a decision for his remaining chips. Butcher did not take long to click the fold button and "GiantGenius" took down the pot without showdown.

In Level 7 with blinds of 600/1,200 and an ante of 150, "BlackCofee" opened to 2,600 in early position and "The_Tuz99" three-bet jammed for 19,000 in the cutoff. Action folded back to "BlackCoffee" and they called.

"The_Tuz99" needed help and found some on the flop . Despite hitting top pair, they still needed to fade eight outs to Broadway plus three more to a better pair. The turn gave them trips, eliminating three outs from the tally, but it proved to be for naught as the river completed Broadway for "BlackCoffee" and earned them the pot.

"The_Tuz99" found themselves out of chips and facing a countdown to rebuy before being bounced from the tournament. The clock ran out and their name was added to the list of eliminations for the tournament, becoming the fifth player to do so for the level.

In Level 10 with blinds of 900/1,800 and an ante of 225, Jonathan "jetsfan411" Borenstein opened the action with a raise to 3,960 in early position and was called by "jaehoez24" in middle position. Action then folded around to "under_where00," who was on the button and three-bet to 10,400.

Daniel "leinad" Buzgon then cold four-bet jammed for 77,000 in the big blind to put action onto Borenstein, who went into the tank for a bit before letting his hand go. "jaehoez24" then called Buzgon's shove and "under_where00" called all in for 54,000 to have a shot at a triple.

"under_where00" found their tens up against a couple of suited ace-kings, needing to fade four immediate outs and two possible flushes. The board came clean, running out and they earned a triple with their full house.

Level 16 has begun with blinds of 2,000/4,000 and an ante of 500 and with it brings about official prize pool information. In total, 99 players entered and added another 76 rebuys and 60 add-ons to the tally. An overall prize pool of $23,500 has been recorded, more than doubling the $10,000 guarantee.

The top 14 places will be paid a minimum of $364, while the eventual winner will earn $6,932.

In Level 18 with blinds of 3,000/6,000 and an ante of 750, there was 36,600 in the middle on a board of with heads-up action between "layitdown08" in the hijack and Daniel “leinad” Buzgon, who was in the big blind.

Buzgon fired out a bet of 32,000 and "layitdown08" called, bringing the river with 90,600 in the middle. Buzgon thought for a couple of seconds and then overbet jammed for 119,000. "layitdown08" immediately called.

Buzgon saw his shove with top pair and busted flush draw get snap-called by his opponent's turned jacks up and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Level 21 has begun with blinds climbing to 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500. Thirty-nine players now remain, with Anthony "Flawlessbinkage" Maio having recently shot up the counts to amass a stack of more than 1.1 million, making him the clear chip leader with 25 eliminations needed to reach the money. On the last hand of Level 23 (7,000/14,000/1,750), action folded around to "maniacalmonk" in the small blind and they shoved for 100,000. Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty re-shoved for 187,000 in the small blind and "angels" called all in for 159,000 from the big blind to bring about a three-way all-in preflop situation.

Hagerty had called the first shove with the best hand but ran into a bigger ace behind him for both the main- and side pots. The flop came to give him an open-ended straight draw, though two of his outs would be no good as "angels" had also picked up the nut flush draw. The turn was exactly what Hagerty needed to hit a straight, and he was able to fade the flush on the river to earn the dobule knockout and bring his stack up to 472,000.

In Level 26 with blinds of 12,000/24,000 and an ante of 3,000, action folded around to "Bond18" on the button and they jammed for 436,000. "IReadYrSoul" called in the big blind.

"Bond18" was unable to hit an ace as the board ran out and they were eliminated from the tournament in 15th place as the official bubble finisher of the tournament.

Meanwhile, "IReadYrSoul" has extended their chip lead and enters in-the-money play with a stack of over 3 million. All remaining 14 players in the tournament are guaranteed $364.
