WPT Online Borgata Series powered by partypoker US Network

Wednesday night brings another slate of events in the partypoker US Network WPT Online Borgata Series, headlined by Event #4: $20K GTD NLH beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The event features a buy-in of $215 and registration is already open for all within the state of New Jersey. Players may enter across any of the three platforms of partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker.

Unlimited entries and re-entries are available for the first two-and-a-half hours of play, closing at the end of Level 15. Each of the first 15 levels during the late registration period will last 10 minutes in length, upon which time registration will close and levels will be increased to 12 minutes for the duration of the tournament. Players receive 50,000 to start and blinds begin at 150/300 with an ante of 40. A detailed look at the structure has been provided below.

Play is midway through Level 3 with blinds of 250/500 and an ante of 60, and 112 entries have already been recorded for the event. This means the guaranteed prize pool of $20,000 has already been exceeded with two-plus more hours of open registration still to add to the total.

Leading the way through the first 25 minutes of play is Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty, who has a stack of over 131,000 already. Tony "Bond18" Dunst is right behind him, and the remainder of the top 20 stacks in the tournament have been posted below.

In Level 7 with blinds of 600/1,200 and an ante of 150, the number of entries in the tournament has risen to 154 with 109 currently remaining. A handful of new faces have been spotted, while others have been eliminated and have yet to re-enter. Among those are Brian “TopCreature” Sherrier and sponsored pro Daniel “leinad” Buzgon, both of whom are among the top 10 in chips.

In Level 10 with blinds of 900/1,800 and an ante of 225, "Stonniepokes" opened under the gun and saw action fold around to "pay4medsch00l" in the small blind, who put in a three-bet. "Stonniepokes" four-bet shoved for 55,000 effective and "pay4medsch00l" called.

"pay4medsch00l" was in great shape to double and the flop left them needing to fade two outs twice more to see the pot shipped their way. Unfortunately for them, the turn gave "Stonniepokes" a set of jacks and left them with one shot at hitting a two outer of their own. It didn't come on the river , giving "Stonniepokes" a full house and earning them the pot to take their stack over 200,000.

Meanwhile, "pay4medsch00l" wasted no time re-entering and received a new stack of 50,000 in the very same seat.

Level 16 has begun with blinds of 2,000/4,000 and an ante of 500. The late registration has officially closed with a total of 216 entries generating a prize pool of $43,200.

Of those 216 entries, 84 remain and the top 32 will make it into the money. A first-level payout is good for $336, with prizes escalating until the eventual winner earns $9,078. Complete prize pool information can be found in the Payouts Tab.

On the last hand of Level 16 (2,000/4,000/500), the runout was in the process of finishing in an all-in scenario between the at-risk Michael “Gags30” Gagliano, who was in the big blind, and the under-the-gun Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd. When the runout finished, it read .

Stone has more than $176K in lifetime live tournament earnings including a career-bet $33,305 for finishing 378th in the 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event. According to a Q&A she did with the Borgata Blog, Stone was born and raised in New Jersey, but after Black Friday in 2011, she relocated to Rosarito, Mexico in order to continue playing online. When New Jersey authorized Atlantic City casinos to offer online gaming within state borders, Stone moved back north to New Jersey and picked up where she left off — winning!

Recently, Stone took the initiative to create the Discord channel “Poker Peeps Affected By COVID19” and invited those in casino industry affected by recent shutdowns to join.

“I realized how tough it was going to be for everyone to keep up with everything and everyone, with so much changing so fast,” Stone recently told PokerNews. “So, I messaged my friend Cy Watson, who has been very active on social media as well regarding Coronavirus, asking him if he thought it would be a good idea to start a chat for people in the industry to be able to connect with each other for help.”

She continued: “I think the main thing poker players and everyone can do is to keep an open mind. Understanding that this is unlike any situation any of us have encountered before, and so thinking outside the box can go a long way. Taking the time to improve a skill, or learn a new skill whether it's a game or something else could be really beneficial not just financially, but mentally.”

In Level 22 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, "angels" opened under the gun and "Stoops211" three-bet jammed for 118,000 in the cutoff. "angels" called and the two were off to the races.

"Stoops211" found themselves on the wrong end of the coin flip as the runout came , leaving their ace-queen no good to the pocket tens of their opponent to result in their 33rd-place finish from the tournament. With their elimination, the bubble has officially burst and all 32 remaining players are guaranteed at least $336.

In Level 24 with blinds of 8,000/16,000, "Chasethiz26" got the last of their chips in from the small blind and received action from "dhimp20," who was in the hijack.

"Chasethiz26" was dominated but found four extra outs on the flop . Unfortunately for them, they would get no closer as the turn and river completed the runout to leave their king-high no good. They finished the tournament in 22nd place.

"POKERDORMS" was knocked out shortly thereafter, and the pair also joined "joeyh1935" and Borgata Ambassador Daniel "leinad" Buzgon as the 21st-24th place finishers in the tournament, earning themselves paydays of $386 for their efforts.
