"pay4medsch00l" Forced To Fire Another Bullet

"Stonniepokes"
"Stonniepokes"

In Level 10 with blinds of 900/1,800 and an ante of 225, "Stonniepokes" opened under the gun and saw action fold around to "pay4medsch00l" in the small blind, who put in a three-bet. "Stonniepokes" four-bet shoved for 55,000 effective and "pay4medsch00l" called.

"pay4medsch00l": {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
"Stonniepokes": {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

"pay4medsch00l" was in great shape to double and the flop {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} left them needing to fade two outs twice more to see the pot shipped their way. Unfortunately for them, the turn {j-Diamonds} gave "Stonniepokes" a set of jacks and left them with one shot at hitting a two outer of their own. It didn't come on the river {5-Hearts}, giving "Stonniepokes" a full house and earning them the pot to take their stack over 200,000.

Meanwhile, "pay4medsch00l" wasted no time re-entering and received a new stack of 50,000 in the very same seat.

On the last hand of Level 16 (2,000/4,000/500), the runout was in the process of finishing in an all-in scenario between the at-risk Michael “Gags30” Gagliano, who was in the big blind, and the under-the-gun Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd. When the runout finished, it read {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Michael “Gags30” Gagliano: {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Gagliano wound up with two pair, eights and fours, while Dodd finished with queens up, good to earn him the pot and the knockout, and now finds himself among the chip leaders in the tournament.

Get to Know BorgataPoker.com Sponsored Pro Katie Stone

Katie Stone
Katie Stone

BorgataPoker.com has a trio of Sponsored Pros, and one of them is Katie Stone, who has been active in the 2020 Borgata Spring Poker Open Online Series.

Stone has more than $176K in lifetime live tournament earnings including a career-bet $33,305 for finishing 378th in the 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event. In addition, Stone has three Borgata Open titles including the 2018 Borgata Fall Poker Open $300 Deepest Stack for $19,337, 2017 Borgata Summer Poker Open $300 Ladies Event for $2,867, and 2017 Borgata Fall Poker Open $300 Deepstack for $9,484. She also recently won the CSOP Borgata Winter Poker Open Event back in January.

However, where Stone has really thrived is online where she’s amassed more than $900K in lifetime earnings. Of that, $146,954 has come on BorgataPoker.com where she plays under the screen name “KatieStone.”

According to a Q&A she did with the Borgata Blog, Stone was born and raised in New Jersey, but after Black Friday in 2011, she relocated to Rosarito, Mexico in order to continue playing online. When New Jersey authorized Atlantic City casinos to offer online gaming within state borders, Stone moved back north to New Jersey and picked up where she left off — winning!

Recently, Stone took the initiative to create the Discord channel “Poker Peeps Affected By COVID19” and invited those in casino industry affected by recent shutdowns to join.

“I realized how tough it was going to be for everyone to keep up with everything and everyone, with so much changing so fast,” Stone recently told PokerNews. “So, I messaged my friend Cy Watson, who has been very active on social media as well regarding Coronavirus, asking him if he thought it would be a good idea to start a chat for people in the industry to be able to connect with each other for help.”

She continued: “I think the main thing poker players and everyone can do is to keep an open mind. Understanding that this is unlike any situation any of us have encountered before, and so thinking outside the box can go a long way. Taking the time to improve a skill, or learn a new skill whether it's a game or something else could be really beneficial not just financially, but mentally.”

Click here to learn more about Stone’s initiative.

Though Stone has already been eliminated from this evening's event, she will certainly be around in upcoming events, so be sure to keep an eye out for her in the remaining tournaments in this week-long series.

"Stoops211" Bubbles Event #4

"Stoops211"
"Stoops211"

In Level 22 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, "angels" opened under the gun and "Stoops211" three-bet jammed for 118,000 in the cutoff. "angels" called and the two were off to the races.

"Stoops211": {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
"angels": {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

"Stoops211" found themselves on the wrong end of the coin flip as the runout came {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, leaving their ace-queen no good to the pocket tens of their opponent to result in their 33rd-place finish from the tournament. With their elimination, the bubble has officially burst and all 32 remaining players are guaranteed at least $336.

Just four tables now remain.

"Chasethis26" and Borgata Ambassador Daniel Buzgon Among Second Round of Payouts

"Chasethiz26":
"Chasethiz26":

In Level 24 with blinds of 8,000/16,000, "Chasethiz26" got the last of their chips in from the small blind and received action from "dhimp20," who was in the hijack.

"Chasethiz26": {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
"dhimp20": {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

"Chasethiz26" was dominated but found four extra outs on the flop {6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Unfortunately for them, they would get no closer as the turn {7-Hearts} and river {8-Spades} completed the runout to leave their king-high no good. They finished the tournament in 22nd place.

"POKERDORMS" was knocked out shortly thereafter, and the pair also joined "joeyh1935" and Borgata Ambassador Daniel "leinad" Buzgon as the 21st-24th place finishers in the tournament, earning themselves paydays of $386 for their efforts.
