The Turn Gets Stone

Level 16 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante
Katie Stone
Katie Stone

Hand #1: "whyulimp" was in early position and jammed for 171,000. Katie "KatieStone" Stone re-jammed in the hijack for 255,000 and "ClarkWesterfield" called all in for 236,000 on the button to bring about a three-way all-in preflop scenario with Stone having a shot at a double knockout.

"whyulimp": {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
"ClarkWesterfeld": {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Katie "KatieStone" Stone: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The flop {k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs} looked great for Stone, giving her top pair, top kicker and putting her way out in front. However, the turn {5-Clubs} gave "whyulimp" a set of fives and left them out in front with a shot at a triple. Stone still needed to fade a jack for the side pot and had seven more club outs to a flush to scoop both pots. Instead, the river {2-Diamonds} completed the board and "whyulimp" shipped the triple while Stone took the side pot, sending "ClarkWesterfeld" to the rail just after registration closed for the tournament.

Hand #2: A few minutes later, Stone found herself in the small blind facing a middle-postiion open from "audidriver" and re-shoved for 128,000. "audidriver" called.

Katie "KatieStone" Stone: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
"audidriver": {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Stone remained out in front as the flop appeared {4-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts} but the turn {6-Clubs} once again gave her opponent a two outer to pull ahead. She was unable to spike a two outer of her own on the river {j-Hearts} and was eliminated from the tournament.

Wood Puts Pahuja Put To the Test

Level 14 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Vinny Pahuja
Vinny Pahuja

Brian "pure_reason" Wood" raised to 20,000 over a limp and saw Vinny "brownmagic" Pahuja call in the big blind. Action went heads up to a flop of {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Pahuja check-called a continuation-bet of 22,000.

Both players checked the turn {8-Spades} and the river fell {6-Clubs}. Pahuja fired 63,000 and Wood pumped it up to 245,000, more than enough to put Pahuja all in.

Pahuja thought for a few moments and then clicked the fold button, bringing Wood's stack up to 1.56 million.

Sinishtaj Tramples "Jennyb50"

Level 10 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
"ToNiSiNzz"
"ToNiSiNzz"

"Lanfeust" raised to 10,000 under the gun and saw "Jennyb50" three-bet shove for 109,000 on their direct left. Tony "ToNiSiNzz" Sinishtaj called in the hijack and action folded back to "Lanfeust," who also folded.

"Jennyb50": {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Tony "ToNiSiNzz" Sinishtaj: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

"Jennyb50" was unable to catch a two outer as the board ran out {4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and they were knocked out of the tournament as Sinishtaj saw the pot shipped their way, bringing them up to 1.27 million in the process.

Borgata Ambassador Gagliano Doubles Through "supremetny"

Level 8 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante
Michael Gagliano
Michael Gagliano

"supremetny" opened the action with a raise to 8,000 in early position action folded around to Borgata Ambassador Michael “Gags30” Gagliano, who was on the button. He three-bet to 28,800 and action folded back to "supremetny," who four-bet to 81,600. Gagliano called.

The flop was {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and "supremetny" made a continuation-bet of 85,600. Gagliano called. The turn came {j-Spades} and "supremetny" bet enough to put Gagliano all in for his remaining 230,000. Gagliano immediately called.

Michael “Gags30” Gagliano: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
"supremetny": {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Gagliano had called with second set had ensured a double as "supremetny" was drawing dead with nothing more than a pair of fives. The river {3-Spades} completed the runout and the pot of 801,000 was sent Gagliano's way.

"supremetny"

The 10-day WPT Online Borgata Series powered by partypoker US Network has been a huge success through its first eight events and another huge field is expected to turn out for Sunday's $1,060 Main Event, which already has over 250 entries with more than three hours to go before pay begins at 5 p.m. ET.

Starting stacks have been ramped up to 250,000 for the Main Event, though Phased Qualifiers have been running throughout the week to see a number of players enter play with a stack size other than that. Six players will enter the day with above a starting stack, and "supremetny" will start with the chip lead by a huge margin after qualifying with a stack of 698,959.

Registration will remain open with unlimited re-entries available through the first 15 levels of play, all of which are 12 minutes in length. After the three-hour late registration period, levels will increase to 15 minutes until the end of Level 34 at which point they will be raised to 20 minutes apiece until a winner has been declared.

Day 1 will play until the final table of eight has been reached, and those who find themselves still alive will return Monday night at 7 p.m. ET to play down to a winner. Along with the first-place prize, the tournament champion will also receive a Hublot Big Bang E Titanium timepiece, valued at $5,200!

Players such as Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken, Ross "thehebrewhammer" Gottlieb, and Michael "IIIIIIIIIIIII" Haberman have been among the series winners thus far and all three are already registered and ready to get in on the action, as is June's WPT Online $400 Main Event Winner David "TheKing411" Coleman.

PokerNews will be providing coverage all the way to the end, so be sure to stick around.
