Alessio Ciorciari told PokerNews that today is his birthday, and despite being short stacked most of the day, he's still hanging in and climbing the payout ladded.

He added a few much-needed chips in a recent hand that saw him open shove for 158,000 from early position. Action folded to Boris Kromas, who thought things over for awhile in the small blind, then folded.

The big blind followed suit, and Ciorciari took down the pot uncontested.
