Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Rusell Youngken
Rusell Youngken

With {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} on the board, an early-position player, the hijack and Russell Youngken each put in 5,500 chips on the flop, and the three players proceeded to the turn.

The turn came {3-Hearts}, the early-position player went all in for 115,000, the hijack called with around 40,000, and Youngken called off his remaining 68,700.

Early Position: {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Hijack: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Cutoff: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Youngken probably couldn't have imagined a better situation to hold top set, but the early-position player still had out to a flish going into the river. That card fell {k-Spades}, however, and in the aftermath Youngken is up to 230,000, after winning what could be the biggest pot of the day so far.
