Stelmak Picks Off Palacios

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 5,000 ante

Dmitriy Stelmak raised to 195,000 from the small blind. Bolivar Palacios called in the big blind and the flop came down {Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Stelmak fired a continuation bet worth 165,000 and Palacios called.

The {9-Diamonds} hit the turn and Stelmak checked. Palacios bet 310,000 and Stelmak called.

The river completed the board with the {5-Clubs} and Stelmak checked. Palacios bet 415,000 and Stelmak called.

Palacios tabled {K-}{J-} for king high. Stelmak held the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for queens and nines and won the pot. He's now up to 4.6 million while Palacios dropped back to 4.4 million.

Stelmak is a full-time poker pro from Moscow who came to the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure with a bunch of friends from Russia.

Before playing poker, he was studying Mathematics and Science at the University of Moscow. His favorite poker game is pot-limit Omaha. He started playing poker five years ago online and four years ago went to his first live tournament. Last year, Stelmak took eighth in the $25,000 High Roller for $66,885.
