Sowers Stumbles, Stein Adds to Stack

Sam Stein opened to 180,000 with the button and Mike Sowers called from the small blind. Both players checked the 
flop and after the 
turned Sowers led for 290,000. Stein called.
The river was the 
and Sowers slowed down, checking to Stein who fired 435,000. Sowers then check-raised to 1.25 million sending Stein deep into the tank. He eventually called showing 
for a pair of tens and we are not sure what Sowers had because of our limited access to the feature table, but the legendary Robbie Thompson said he showed just jack-high.
Stein's stack increased to 6.5 million chips with the win while Sowers slipped to 3.5 million.
