The Team PokerStars Pros have had mixed results recently. Team Pro (Sweden) Viktor Blom couldn't capitalize on his recent double and was busted by Cliff Josephy.
Likewise, Team Pro (USA) Dennis Phillips got his last 9,000 in good with against the of Micah Raskin. Unfortunately for him, the board ran out and he had to pass his bounty chip to his opponent.
On the other side of the spectrum, Team Pro (Canada) Greg Debora called the all in bet of Dwyte Pilgrim on a flop.
Debora:
Pilgrim:
Both players had flopped a straight draw but Debora's kicker was in play. The turn changed nothing and neither did the on the river. Debora's jack-high was good enough to eliminate Pilgrim from the tournament.
The eliminations are coming quick. It seems every time we head back out to the floor someone new has collected a bounty chip. Most recently Dwyte Pilgrim acquired Jonathan Tamayo's bounty while Shaun Deeb eliminated Peter Jetten.
James Dempsey was under the gun and raised to 1,025. Viktor Blom was next to act and called as the rest of the table got out of the way. Dempsey threw out a continuation bet of 1,700 on the flop and Blom called, leaving himself just 5,750 behind.
The dealer burned and turned the and Dempsey checked. Blom moved all in, Dempsey called, and the cards were turned up:
Dempsey:
Blom:
Blom was ahead with two pair and needed to dodge a diamond on the river. He did just that as it came the , doubling him to around 17,000. Dempsey took a hit down to 11,500.
