The Bill Perkins Show

Bill Perkins (Day 1) is putting on a show.
Bill Perkins (Day 1) is putting on a show.

The always entertaining Bill Perkins opened to 12,000 from under the gun, and the action folded to the 2011 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event champion Elio Fox, who three-bet to 33,000 from the small blind. Perkins called, and the flop fell {3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Fox led for 28,000, and Perkins immediately called.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds}, and Fox slowed down, checking to Perkins who tossed out nine blue T5,000 chips. Fox tank-called the 45,000-chip bet.

The river was the {q-Hearts}, and Fox checked again. Perkins swiftly fired 50,000, and Fox called. Perkins rolled over {q-Spades}{7-Spades} for two pair, and Fox mucked his hand.

The very next hand, the action folded to Fox, and he opened to 10,000 on the button.

"It doesn't matter what I have," Perkins announced when it folded to him in the big blind. He called without looking at his hand.

Perkins checked as the flop fell {9-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, and Fox continued for 12,000. Perkins verbally cycled through the hands he hoped to have, and the most tantalizing possibility to him was the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. He peaked at his two cards, then quickly grabbed a hand full of blue chips, betting 35,000. Fox mucked, and Perkins spiked {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} onto the table.

"The ghosty!" Perkins exclaimed.

Perkins has apparently wanted to play a "ghosty hand" with his neighbor Mike McDonald, and can't stop talking about the "ghosty hand" he won against Fox.
