Molson Raised Off Turn

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

From under the gun, Bryn Kenney raised to 6,300. Will Molson made the call from the big blind and the flop came down {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Both players checked and the turn brought the {10-Spades}. Molson bet 8,000 and Kenney raised to 30,300. Molson folded and Kenney won the pot.

Negreanu Doubles

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Shawn Buchanan started the action, raising in middle position, and Daniel Negreanu moved all in for 65,500. The action folded back to Buchanan who snap-called.

"Uh-oh," Negreanu blurted.

Showdown
Buchanan: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Negreanu: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Kid Poker was well behind, but the {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop smacked him right in the face.

"There it is!" he said.

The {q-Clubs} on the turn gave Buchanan three more outs to re-suck out, but the river was another queen - the {q-Spades}.

"Sorry kiddo," Negreanu offered. "Not quite, but it's polite to say that."

Negreanu is now back over 130,000 chips. We sat down with him for an episode of the PokerNews Podcast last night. You can check that out here:

Sixes Good

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

From under the gun, Isaac Haxton raised to 6,500. Will Molson three-bet to 15,000 from the cutoff seat and Haxton called.

The flop came down {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} and both players checked. They also checked the {A-Diamonds} turn and {5-Hearts} river. Haxton tabled the {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Molson mucked his hand.

Buchanan Busts Demjan

Daniel Negreanu opened to 5,500 in early position and was called by Sandor Demjan in middle position and Erik Seidel on the button. Shawn Buchanan squeezed to 16,000 from the big blind, forcing a fold from Negreanu.

Demjan, however, re-raised all in for about 36,000. Seidel folded, Buchanan called, and the hands were revealed.

Demjan: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Buchanan: {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop left Demjan all but out the door. The {6-Hearts} turn officially ended his tournament, making the {Q-Diamonds} river merely a formality.

Don't Put That Up

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

From under the gun, Chance Kornuth raised to 6,000. Galen Hall called from the small blind and Isaac Haxton called from the big blind. The three players took the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop and all checked.

The {A-Spades} turn was also checked by both players before the {10-Hearts} landed on the river. Hall bet 13,000 and Haxton raised to 26,000. Kornuth folded and then play fell back on Hall.

"This has potential to be the worst hand of poker played ever," said Hall as he thought. Eventually, he mucked and Haxton won the pot. "Don't put that on PokerNews," Hall added.

Sorry, Galen. With a comment like that, we just couldn't resist.

Negreanu Climbing Back

We picked up the action on the board of {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} between Eirk Seidel and Daniel Negreanu. Seidel had checked and Team PokerStars Pro Negreanu fired 11,500. Seidel called.

The {3-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and Seidel checked. Negreanu fired 27,000. After a minute of tanking, Seidel called, but cold only muck after seeing the {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} from Negreanu.

"How much you got now, Eugene?" Negreanu shouted after the hand to Eugene Katchalov at another table.

"160," responded Katchalov.

"Ha, I got you now! 180!" finished Negreanu.

Perkins Pounds the Pavement

Under the gun Philipp Gruissem raised to 5,500, and the table folded around to the blinds. Both Bill Perkins (small) and Jonathan Duhamel (big) came along with him, and it was a three-way flop.

The dealer spread out {5-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {7-Spades}, and Gruissem continued out with 10,500. Perkins check-raised to 30,000 straight, and the action froze on Duhamel in the middle. He appeared to be thinking sinister thoughts, and he settled on a reraise to 75,000 total. That folded Gruissem without incident, but Perkins was stuck in a bad spot. As he wriggled in his chair and chatted with his opponent, it became clear that his hand wouldn't stand up well to the three-bet, but he only had about 40,000 chips left in front of him. After some time, he slid them across the line to put himself at risk.

Showdown
Perkins: {J-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}
Duhamel: {A-Spades} {J-Clubs}

Duhamel's kicker had him two cards from the knockout, and Perkins could not catch up. The turn {9-Clubs} and river {7-Diamonds} filled out the board, and Perkins astutely surmised, "Well, I'm outta here." He is indeed out of chips and headed for the door, and Duhamel adds the chips to his own stack. We'll count him down once he finishes stacking up, but he should have close to 450,000 now.

Sarah Grant caught up with Perkins before his exit for a quick chat; have a look:

Stein Takes One from Duhamel

After Sam Stein opened to 6,000 from under the gun, Jonathan Duhamel three-bet to 16,600 from the hijack seat. Everyone folded back to Stein and he called to take a flop.

That flop was the {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. With the board paired, Stein checked. Duhamel checked right behind to see fourth street.

The {8-Clubs} landed on the turn and Stein bet 21,500. Duhamel called.

The river was the {K-Hearts} and Duhamel was faced with a bet of 46,200 from Stein. After a minute, Duhamel gave it up and Stein won the pot.
