Sands Flops A Full House

Level 22 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
David Sands
David Sands

Scott Seiver limped with {Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} from the small blind and David "Doc" Sands coyly checked his option with {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. The {Q-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Clubs} flop was gin for Sands as it delivered him the nuts, and he ended up calling a bet of 140,000 from Seiver, who paired his queen.

Sands then called a bet of 250,000 on the {3-Hearts}, and watched Seiver bet 300,000 on the {8-Clubs} river. Sands took a long time before putting in a raise to 1.07 million, and it was Seiver's turn to tank. He sat with his hands cusped in front of his mouth and eyed up his opponent. Eventually Seiver let it go and it was off to the dinner break.

A Three-Bet!

Level 22 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

David Sands opened to 240,000 on the button with the {9-Diamonds} and an unknown card, and Scott Seiver three-bet to 825,000 from the big blind with seven-four. Sands folded, showing his other card - an eight - and Seiver raked in the pot.

Where's The Action

Level 22 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Since dropping down to three-handed play, there have been no significant pots. It seems the remaining three players are content letting the level expire, which will bring about the dinner break.

Cary Katz Eliminated in 4th Place ($543,800)

Cary Katz - 4th Place
Cary Katz - 4th Place

Cary Katz shoved for 1.35 million with {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}, and David "Doc" Sands called in the big blind with {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

The {4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} flop changed little, and the {3-Diamonds} on the turn was meaningless as well. The {9-Hearts} completed the board, and on the 97th hand of four-handed play, Katz was eliminated.

He'll earn $543,800 for the finish.

Sands Give Some More To Seiver

David "Doc" Sands opened for 240,000 from the button and Scott Seiver defended from the big blind holding {10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. The {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop saw Seiver, who had picked up a flush draw with a gut-shot straight draw, check-call abet of 360,000, and then both players checked the {2-Hearts} turn.

When Seiver hit his flush on the {J-Diamonds} river, he fired out 900,000 and Sands made an uncharacteristically quick fold while exposing the {8-Clubs}.
