Big-Stack Poker

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Pascal Lefrancois
Pascal Lefrancois

Pascal Lefrancois had what looked like a four-bet of 105,000 in front of him when we reached the table, and Adrian Bussman re-raised him to 240,000. Lefrancois made the call, the flop came {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, and Bussman led out for 185,000. Lefrancois called.

The turn was the {10-Spades}, both players knuckled, and the {7-Hearts} completed the board. Bussman checked again, Lefrancois slid forward 315,000, and Bussman unhappily folded.

Timex Busts Olofsson, Flirts With 3M

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Mike McDonald Grabs Hold of More Precious Chips
Mike McDonald Grabs Hold of More Precious Chips

Picking up with the action on a board of {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, Erik Olofsson checked over to Mike "Timex" McDonald who moved forward a bet of 100,000. Olofsson called to see a river and the dealer produced the {10-Hearts}.

Olofsson checked over to Timex once again, and the EPT champion moved forward a tower of green T25,000 chips which was a bet of enough to put Olofsson all in. Olofsson pondered for a bit and eventually decided to call off his final 260,000.

McDonald showed the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a rivered pair of tens. Olofsson slapped {J-Spades}{9-Spades} on the felt for a losing pair of nines, shook McDonald's hand, and made an exit from the tournament area. McDonald raked in yet another massive pot, bringing his stack to 2.935 million.

Srinivasan Busts Ribero

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Jorge Ribeiro made it 35,000 to go from under the gun only to have Shyam Srinivasan three-bet to 91,000 from the next seat over. One by one, cards were kicked into the muck around the table until the action came back to Ribeiro. He announced a four-bet ship all in for 670,000 and Srinivasan called.

Ribeiro: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Srinivasan: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

Srinivasan was in the lead with two ladies and stayed that way on the {J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop. Despite flopping top pair, Ribeiro was unable to improve further as the turn and river brought the {K-Hearts} and the {8-Clubs}, respectively. Srinivasan dragged in the massive pot and now has about 2.27 million in chips.

Kristoffer Edberg moved all in for 270,000 in early position, and as the action folded to the blinds, Roger Teska (big blind) folded out of turn. Mike McDonald called in the small blind, and the two hands were tabled.

Edberg: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
McDonald: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The dealer spread {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, giving Edberg straight and counterfeit outs, but he found no help on the turn ({6-Spades}) or the river ({3-Spades}).

Edberg hit the rail, and McDonald, who is vying to be the first ever two-time EPT Main Event champion, chipped up to 2.19 million.

The action folded to Dominik Panka, who min-raised to 32,000 on the button. Robert Auer defended his big blind, the flop fell {3-Spades}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}, and Auer checked. Panka continued for 32,000, Auer called, and the turn was a third spade - the {4-Spades}.

Auer checked, Panka fired a second bullet worth 72,000, and Auer called.

The {8-Clubs} completed the board, Auer checked a third and final time, and Panka emptied the chamber, betting 165,000. Auer once again called, then mucked when Panka showed {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for top two pair.
