Shahade Doubles Through Selbst

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jennifer Shahade
Jennifer Shahade

Pascal Lefrancois raised to 22,000 from early position and it folded to Vanessa Selbst on the button. The PokerStars Team Pro flatted the raise and Jennifer Shahade announced an all in three-bet from the small blind. Action came back to Lefrancois and he let go of his cards.

Selbst thought for a moment, let loose a sigh, and dropped forward a call. She tabled {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and was racing with Shahade's {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The flop came down {3-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}, giving Shahade an open-ended straight draw along with her two overcards. She picked up even more outs when the {8-Clubs} hit the turn, giving her four clubs to a flush. Shahade made the flush after the {7-Clubs} completed the board, and she was able to score the double up.

Shahade now sits at 491,000 while Selbst has been crippled to 95,000.

Guillen Gone

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Angel Guillen - Eliminated
Angel Guillen - Eliminated

Team PokerStars Pro Angel Guillen moved all in for 63,000 from early position, and the action folded to Jude Ainsworth, who called on the button. Both blinds folded.

Guillen: {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Ainsworth: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Guillen was in dire straights, but the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop gave him a pair of aces and a three-to-one advantage. The turn was the {10-Spades}, however, giving Ainsworth Broadway, and the {7-Spades} bricked off on the river.

Lefrancois' Kings Hold

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Grayson Ramage opened to 22,000 from under the gun and Vanessa Selbst called from a few seats down. Jorgen Sandvoll Lindebo tossed out a call from the cutoff and it folded to Pascal Lefrancois from the small blind. He cut out a three-bet to 81,000 and Anton Iaroslavskii four-bet the action to 210,000 from the big blind. Everyone else folded back to Lefrancois who announced an all in five-bet for 563,000. Iaroslavskii called and the hands were revealed.

Lefrancois: {K-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Iaroslavskii: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

Lefrancois was sitting pretty with his kings and managed to score the double up after the board came down {9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Lefrancois is now sitting on about 1.2 million while Iaroslavskii has dropped to 715,000.

Five-Bet Shoving With Ace-Three

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

James St. Hilaire opened to 20,000 in the cutoff, Kristoffer Edberg three-bet to 48,000 on the button, and both blinds released. St. Hilaire four-bet to 108,000, Kristoffer wagered the maximum, moving all in for 469,000, and St. Hilaire called.

St. Hilaire: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Edberg: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

According to the PokerNews Odds Calculator, St. Hilaire was a 67 percent favorite to win preflop, and he remained ahead when the dealer fanned {3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Edberg picked up a backdoor flush draw and added two extra outs to make trip threes, but the {k-Hearts} on the turn was a big red brick.

St. Hilaire's odds of winning the hand shot up above 88 percent heading to the river, but the {a-Hearts} spiked onto the felt, giving Edberg aces up. The Swede doubled to 960,000 chips, while St. Hilaire dropped down to 205,000.

Berkey Busted by Hall

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Matt Berkey was all in before the flop holding {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts} against Thomas Hall's {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. The two watched on as the board ran out {4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} to ensure that Hall's pocket tens would hold up as the best hand. Berkey was eliminated from play while Hall brought his stack to about 1.05 million.

Panka Over Tusnea

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Tusnea found no help on the turn ({10-Clubs}) or the river ({9-Clubs}) and was eliminated from play. Panka picked up the pot and has about 730,000 in chips.
