In a four-part series Team PokerStars Pro Barry Greenstein tells us his life story. In the first part Greenstein talks about growing up in Chicago, learning the game of poker and hosting a college home game where lobster and steak were being served.
In a hand that stretched into the break, we found Sotirios Koutoupas shoving all in from the cutoff on a flop. Tournament leader Juan Martin Pastor had check-raised Koutoupas, and Pastor called the shove of about 100,000.
Koutoupas:
Pastor:
Pastor had only a flush on the flop but picked up more outs as an turn gave him a straight draw. The river filled his flush draw and left Koutoupas shaking his head as he walked away.

A short-stacked Ludwig Fernstrom was all in and at risk holding against the of big stack Hugh Drummond. The nervous Fernstrom stood up from his chair and watched as the dealer put out the flop. It was a safe one for him as was the brick on the turn. No flushes or straights were possible and Fernstrom only needed to dodge a jack to stay alive.
You probably know how this story ends... a jack on the river. A loud expletive coming out of the mouth of Fernstrom as he finished just short of the money.
"Sorry dude," said Drummond as he added to his big stack.
