Hands #77-79: McKeehen on the Rise

Level 22 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #77: Joe McKeehen raised under the gun with {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} to 240,000 and Ankush Mandavia found {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} in the cutoff. Mandavia made it 510,000 and McKeehen folded.

Hand #78: Kanit raised to 240,000 with the {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs} in the cutoff. McKeehen called from the big blind with the {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, and the flop came down {9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. McKeehen checked, Kanit continued for 250,000, and McKeehen called to see the {2-Hearts} turn.

McKeehen checked for a second time, Kanit did the same, and the {5-Spades} completed the board on the river. McKeehen slid out a bet of 500,000, and Kanit took his time before calling with bottom pair. With that, McKeehen chipped up to 4.74 million.

Hand #79: Kanit raised to 240,000 from under the gun with the {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, Mandavia called from the big blind holding the {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, and the flop fell {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Mandavia checked top pair, Kanit continued for 165,000, and Mandavia called to see the {6-Diamonds} turn.

Mandavia, who improved to two pair and locked up the hand, sneakily checked, but Kanit didn't bite and checked behind. After the {10-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Mandavia announced a bet of 600,000 and Kanit released his hand.
