Lehne Busts Haxton To Take the Lead

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Kathy Lehne
Kathy Lehne

On the turn of a board reading {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{J-Spades}, Isaac Haxton checked to Kathy Lehne, and she bet 75,000. Haxton check-raised all in for around 225,000, and Lehne made the call with the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a flopped full house. Haxton had turned a straight with the {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}, but he wasn't drawing dead yet as the river could've given him a straight flush.

The {4-Diamonds} wasn't what Haxton was looking for, and he was eliminated. Lehne moved to nearly 800,000 in chips and into the lead.

Seidel Out

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

On a flop of {A-}{6-}{6-}, Erik Seidel was all in with ace-king against Connor Drinan. Drinan had flopped trip sixes with {6-}{5-} and his hand held from there. He had Seidel covered, and the eight-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner was sent to the rail.

Mandavia and Schemion Chop One Up

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Keith Lehr raised to 7,000 from early position, Vanessa Selbst called from the cutoff seat, Ankush Mandavia called from the button, and Ole Schemion called from the big blind.

The flop was {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, and play checked to Mandavia. He bet 18,000, Schemion called, Lehr folded, and Selbst folded.

The turn was the {2-Spades}, and both Schemion and Mandavia checked to see the {4-Hearts} pair the board on the river. Again, both checked.

Schemion showed first — the {K-Spades}{6-Spades}. Mandavia showed the {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, and the two chopped up the pot.

Aces for McDonald

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

On the double-paired {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} board, Fedor Holz bet 24,500, and Mike McDonald called to see the {10-Diamonds} land on the river. Holz checked, and McDonald checked behind. Holz showed his hand to reveal a {10-} and another unknown card, but his hand was mucked when McDonald tabled the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} for the winner.

Seiver Doubles Through Timex

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Just before the level went up, action folded to Mike "Timex" McDonald on the button and he raised to 6,000. Scott Seiver then three-bet to an unknown amount from the big blind, McDonald four-bet jammed, and Seiver called off for 116,200 total.

Seiver: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
McDonald: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Seiver was well out in front thanks to his king kicker, and his position strengthened when he paired in on the {5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop. The {10-Clubs} turn gave McDonald a Broadway draw, but it didn't come in as the {7-Spades} blanked on the river.

"You Wouldn't Bet a Jack Right?"

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised to 5,500 from the hijack and then called when Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 16,000 from the button. The {7-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop saw Negreanu check-call a bet of 13,000, and then both players checked the {J-Hearts} turn.

When the {3-Spades} completed the board on the river, Negreanu checked and Chidwick tossed out a single green T25,000 chip.

"Thought you hit the jack," Negreanu said. "You wouldn't bet a jack, right?"

Negreanu, who had lost a big hand to Christoph Vogelsang a few minutes earlier, ended up folding and Chidwick was pushed the pot.

Greenwood Gives It Up on the River

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Tim Adams opened for 6,000 and Bryn Kenney called from the button. Sam Greenwood then three-bet to 21,000 from the small blind, Adams folded, and Kenney called to see the {9-Spades}{a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop. Greenwood bet 17,400, Kenney called, and the {5-Diamonds} appeared on the turn.

Greenwood checked, and then called a bet of 39,600 from Kenney. When the {3-Spades} completed the board on the river, Greenwood checked and Kenney bet a hefty 150,000. Greenwood thought for over a minute, but eventually settled on a fold.

Vogelsang Takes His Time to Best Stern

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Anton Astapau raised to 4,800 and Christoph Vogelsang called, opening up the possibility of a rematch between the two, but both blinds, Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu and Dani Stern, made the call.

The flop brought out {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and all four players checked after which the turn brought the {6-Hearts}.

Negreanu bet 12,500 from the small blind and Stern, from his direct left, raised it up to 36,000. Astapau folded and Vogelsang tanked for quite some time before making the call, and Negreanu sighed as he folded right away.

The river brought the {Q-Spades} and Stern checked to Vogelsang who bet 66,000 after quite a bit of tanking.

Stern eventually folded, and Vogelsang took down this hefty pot.

"Do you know how long you thought before betting?" Negreanu asked Vogelsang.

After a pause, Vogelsang said, "Three minutes and 25 seconds?"

Negreanu laughed and said it was two minutes and 10 seconds, and he added that he couldn't think of a single hand he would have to tank this long with.

McDonald Shoves on Kanit

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Mike "Timex" McDonald opened for 6,000 from the cutoff and was met by a three-bet to 17,000 from Mustapha Kanit on the button. The blinds both folded, McDonald pushed back with a four-bet to 42,000, and Kanit called. The {j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} flop saw Kanit call a bet of 35,000 from McDonald, and then the dealer burned and turned the {2-Diamonds}.

McDonald moved all in, and Kanit thought long and hard before releasing his hand.
