Seidel Finishes Off Esfandiari

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Antonio Esfandiari
Antonio Esfandiari

After Erik Seidel spiked a lucky river to double through Antonio Esfandiari, the Poker Hall of Famer returned this level to finish the job.

It happened when a short-stacked Esfandiari shoved all in under the gun for 103,000 and Seidel isolated by moving all in over the top from the button.

Esfandiari: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Seidel: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Esfandiari had some major kicker problems, and they failed to get resolved as the board ran out {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

The Champ Goes Runner-Runner Against Seidel

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Moments after he busted Antonio Esfandiari, Erik Seidel hit the rail thanks to Joe McKeehen. McKeehen had put Seidel all in on the {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, and Seidel called off his stack with the {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for bottom pair with a flush draw. McKeehen had the {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a worse flush draw.

The turn was the {J-Hearts}, and the river was the {9-Hearts}. That combination of cards gave McKeehen a straight and sent Seidel packing.

"I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the turn I thought I was going to win," McKeehen said after the hand.

McKeehen increased his stack to almost 1.6 million with that pot.

Selbst's Shove Uncalled by Kenney

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst raised to 18,000 and Bryn Kenney three-bet to 61,000, after which Selbst made the call. The flop came down {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and both players checked.

On the turn the {6-Clubs} hit and Selbst bet 82,000, Kenney called.

The river completed the board with the {5-Spades} and Selbst moved all in. Kenney went into the tank for a long time before folding, and Selbst raked in the pot after which she got moved to Joe McKeehen's table.

One of the Two Ladies Wakes Up with Two Ladies

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst raised to 23,000 under the gun and the only other female player in the field, Kathy Lehne, three-bet to 60,000 from the big blind. Selbst made the call and then called a bet of 75,000 on the {3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} flop.

When the {9-Diamonds} appeared on the turn, Lehne kept the pressure on with a bet of 125,000, and Selbst thought long and hard before making the call. When the {3-Clubs} completed the board on the river, action went check-check and Lehne tabled the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. It was good as Selbst sent her cards to the muck.

Urbanovich Doubles Through Shak

With a flop showing {4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} Dan Shak bet 25,000 and Dzmitry Urbanovich raised from his direct left to 61,000. Shak tanked for quite a bit of time before moving all in, and Urbanovich called to put his stack at risk.

Urbanovich: {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Shak: {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}, {Q-Hearts} and Urbanovich found himself a nice double up.

Negreanu Gets Flush Over Flush Against McDonald

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Byron Kaverman raised to 23,000 from under the gun, Daniel Negreanu called from the small blind, and Mike McDonald called from the big blind to see the flop come down {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}. All three players checked, and the turn was the {8-Spades}. After Negreanu bet 35,000, McDonald called, and Kaverman folded.

The river was the {2-Hearts}, and Negreanu checked. McDonald thought about it for a little bit, then fired 125,000. Negreanu quickly called with the {7-Spades}{6-Spades} for a spade flush, but it was no good against the {A-Spades}{2-Spades} that McDonald held for an ace-high flush.

Haxton with the Five-Bet Shove

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit opened for 25,000 under the gun and action folded to Isaac Haxton in the small blind. He opted to push back with a three-bet to 70,000, and Kanit thought long and hard before four-betting to 157,000. Haxton paused, looked at the dealer, and announced he was all in, which elicited a snap-fold from Kanit.
