Shakerchi Eliminated By Dvoress

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Talal Shakerchi
Talal Shakerchi

From under the gun, Daniel Dvoress raised to 47,000. Bryn Kenney, in the cutoff seat, reraised to 116,000, and then Talal Shakerchi cold four-bet to 275,000 on the button. The two players in the blinds folded, and then Dvoress took some time before he moved all in for 769,000. Kenney quickly folded, and Shakerchi called.

Shakerchi had the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and was actually the player at risk with a little less than Dvoress' stack. Dvoress had the {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. Time for a classic race.

The {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop kept Dvoress in the lead, and the {Q-Hearts} turn improved him to a set of queens. Despite his improvement, Shakerchi still had outs to a Broadway straight. The {7-Diamonds} on the river wasn't what Shakerchi needed, and he was eliminated. Shakerchi had started the day as the chip leader, but fell just a few spots short of a cash.

Dvoress collected the pot and moved to 1.6 million in chips.

Perkins Takes from Peters

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

David Peters raised to 45,000 from the cutoff and Bill Perkins defended from the big blind. The {q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop saw Perkins check-call a bet of 35,000, and then both players checked the {5-Clubs} turn as well as the {7-Clubs} river.

"Three," Perkins said before showing the {3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. It was good as Peters sent his hand to the muck.

Mandavia Puts "Tight-Man1" in a Tight Spot

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Online star Christoph "Tight-Man1" Vogelsang raised to 43,000 from the cutoff and received a call from Ankush Mandavia in the big blind. The {8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop saw Mandavia check and Vogelsang fire out 45,000.

Mandavia wasted little time in check-raising all in, and Vogelsang hit the tank for several minutes. Eventually Mike McDonald called time, and as soon as he did Vogelsang tossed his cards high on their way to the muck. McDonald claimed to have seen the {9-Diamonds}, and Vogelsang confirmed he held that card while claiming the other was the {Q-Diamonds}.

Kenney Busts McDonald

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Mike McDonald
Mike McDonald

Bryn Kenney raised under the gun to 45,000 and Mike McDonald called from the big blind. The flop brought out {5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and McDonald check-called a bet of 57,000.

On the turn the {A-Hearts} hit and McDonald checked again after which Kenney fired out a bet of 130,000.

McDonald stared down Kenney, who stared right back at him, before moving all in to put himself at risk. Kenney called right away and the showdown went as follows.

Kenney: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
McDonald: {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The river was the {K-Spades}, giving McDonald a pair, but he the only cards that could've kept him alive were the remaining hearts in the deck.

Nuts for Perkins

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Bill Perkins
Bill Perkins

From under the gun, Nick Petrangelo raised to 55,000. Bill Perkins was the only caller, acting from the big blind, and the flop came down {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Perkins and Petrangelo checked, and the turn was the {3-Clubs}. After Perkins checked, Petrangelo bet 60,000. Perkins called.

The river was the {J-Spades}, and Perkins checked. Petrangelo took some time, then fired a bet of 132,000. Perkins asked how much the bet was for, received confirmation on the amount from the dealer, and then announced a raise to 300,000. Petrangelo quickly called.

"Nuts!" proudly announced Perkins with the {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}.

Petrangelo mucked, and Perkins was pushed the pot.

"Man, I probably could've made it 500,000 with how fast you called," Perkins thought out loud after the hand.

Ace-High Call for Dvoress

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit raised to 45,000 from first position to kick off the action, and Daniel Dvoress reraised to 120,000 from the cutoff seat. Kanit called, and the dealer ran out the {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop. Kanit and Dvoress checked, and the {6-Hearts} was added to the board on fourth street.

Both players checked the turn, and the river was the {8-Diamonds}. Kanit fired 155,000 at the pot, and Dvoress tank-called. Kanit tabled the {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for king high, but it was no good against the {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} that Dvoress held for ace high.

Perkins Nearing 2 Million

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

From the hijack seat, Isaac Haxton raised to 40,000. Bill Perkins was next to act out of the cutoff position, and he reraised to 100,000 even. Action folded back around to Haxton, he called, and then he checked the {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop. Perkins checked behind.

The turn was the {8-Clubs}, and both players checked again. The {A-Spades} paired the board with bullets on the river, and both players checked once more.

Perkins quickly turned over the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for two pair, and Haxton mucked.

Vogelsang Eliminated by Lehne

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Kathy Lehne moved all in on the {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board to put Christoph Vogelsang at risk for his tournament life. Vogelsang tanked long and hard, and eventually he made the call for all of his chips with the {J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

He held two pair, jacks and sixes, but he was in a lot of trouble with only one card to come after he saw Lehne's {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for trip sixes. The river completed the board with the {K-Spades}, and Vogelsang was eliminated.

Lehne moved to 1.58 million in chips.

McKeehen Takes Four-Way Pot

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

From under the gun, Bill Perkins raised to 55,000. Nick Petrangelo called from the hijack seat, Joe McKeehen called from the cutoff seat, and Isaac Haxton called from the big blind. After the dealer spread the {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, Haxton checked, and Perkins bet 125,000 with a flick of the wrist. Petrangelo called, but then McKeehen popped it up to 380,000. Haxton folded, and Perkins went into the tank. He eventually gave it up, but his decision looked to be a very tough one. Petrangelo quickly folded after that, and McKeehen won the pot.

"I wanna know that hand," Perkins said to McKeehen. "Put that in your memory bank."
