Winter Extends Lead

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Dario Sammartino limped the button, Sean Winter did the same from the small blind, and Nick Maimone checked his option from the big to bring about an {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop. Winter led out for 135,000, Maimone folded, and Sammartino called to see the {A-Spades} turn.

Winter bet again, this time 445,000, and Sammartino came along to the {9-Spades} river. Winter slid out a bet of 1.8 million, which put Sammartino, who had 1.56 million behind, to the test. The Italian tanked for a couple of minutes but eventually released his hand.

Nick Maimone opened for 175,000 from the button and was met by a three-bet to 380,000 by Dario Sammartino in the small blind. Sean Winter folded the big, Maimone moved all in, and Sammartino simply laughed before sending his cards to the muck.

Pace of Playing Picking Up

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Since a deal has been struck, both players have agreed to cut the length of each level in half from one hour to 30 minutes. Additionally, they're playing hands quick in terms of how fast they act. No significant pots yet, but they are flying through them in an attempt to crown a winner.

Maimone Takes one

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Play is fast and furious, but the pots haven't been that big in the beginning stages of this heads-up match.

Just now Nick Maimone raised from the button to 225,000 and Sean Winter called. The flop was {3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and Winter check-called 350,000.

On the {8-Hearts} turn both players checked, and Winter check-folded to a bet of about 700,000 on the river.

Maimone Pulling Away

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

With 420,000 in the pot and a flop of {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, both players checked and the dealer burned and turned the {A-Hearts}. Nick Maimone bet 500,000 and Winter called. Maimone tabled the {q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for tripes and it was good as Winter mucked.

Not long after, Winter raised to 200,000 from the button and then called when Maimone three-bet to 700,000. Maimone then fired out 600,000 on the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop and Winter folded.
