Mercier Survives After Cooler

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Jason Mercier got himself in a three-way all in with {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} against the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} of Renaud Desferet and the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} of Fabian Chauriye. The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}, giving the pot to Chauriye, who started the hand with 675,000. Desferet had just 275,000 and was eliminated, while Mercier was left with 111,000.

The PokerStars Team Pro called it off shortly thereafter when Ami Barer moved in on him from the small blind.

Barer: {q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Mercier: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Huge Double for Kritzer

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

From middle position, Matt Waxman raised to 35,000. Randy Kritzer reraised on the button to 105,000, and then Kevin Wan reraised to 245,000 out of the big blind. Waxman folded, and Kritzer quickly moved all in for 799,000. Wan called just as quickly, and a massive pot of over 1.6 million chips was born.

Wan had the best of it with the {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}. Kritzer had the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

Despite the lead going in, Wan fell behind on the {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop. The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, and the river was the {5-Hearts}. Kritzer won the pot with a set of queens, and Wan was crushed down to about 100,000 in chips.

Home-Court Advantage Continues To Be Real for Gregg

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Tony Gregg just moved over 1 million in chips thanks to busting Justin Oliver from the tournament. Oliver was all in with the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} against the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} for Gregg. The flop paired Gregg's king when it came {K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}, and that was followed by the {2-Hearts} on the turn and the {K-Clubs} on the river.

Gregg finished the hand with trip kings, and Oliver was off to the payout desk.

Racener Fades Jattin's Outs with a Chop

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
John Racener
John Racener

John Racener was all in for 134,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and dominating the {A-Spades}{5-Spades} for Farid Jattin who had him covered.

The {8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop kept Racener in front, and the {8-Spades} on the turn made things real interesting because it gave Jattin a flush draw to go along with his pair and straight outs.

The river completed the board with the {4-Hearts}, and the two players chopped up the pot.
