Florian Maurer - 15th Place for $55,380
Florian Maurer - 15th Place for $55,380

Adalfer Morales Gamarra opened with a raise to 58,000 from the hijack seat. Action folded to the button where Florian Maurer moved all in for 705,000 total. Action folded back to Gamarra and he called.

Gamarra: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Maurer: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

The flop ws good for Gamara when it came {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Spades} which didn't give him the lead, but added extra outs to a nine. It got better when the {10-Clubs} came on the turn, adding a jack as an out as well. The river was the {Q-Spades} and that gave Gamarra the pair he needed.

Maurer exits the tournament in 15th place, collecting $55,380 for his finish.

"Man, I Wanted to Check This Back So Badly!"

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Michael Farrow opened under the gun for 53,000 and small blind Jean Ateba called. Ateba check-called a bet of 60,000 on {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades} before they both checked the {9-Clubs} on the turn.

The {K-Hearts} completed the board and Ageba checked. Farrow bet 105,000 and was soon facing a check-raise. Ateba made it about 180,000, and was soon forced to make it 210,000 to make the raise legitimate.

"Man, I wanted to check this back so badly..." Farrow said before eventually calling the additional 105,000.

Ateba showed {7-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a straight.

Farrow tabled {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and tossed it in the muck.

Massive Double for Buchanan

Shawn Buchanan
Shawn Buchanan

Shawn Buchanan opened from the hijack seat with a raise to 55,000. Adalfer Morales Gamarra was on the button and he three-bet, making it 195,000. Action folded back to Buchanan who thought for a good while before moving all in for 880,000. Gamarra quickly called.

Gamarra: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Buchanan: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

Buchanan stayed safe as the board ran out {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades} keeping him in the lead the whole way. With that double Buchanan moves over 1.5 million while Gamarra drops back down to one of the shorter stacks left in the tournament.

Bartosz Stasiewicz Gets Value on the River

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Christian Rudolph raised to 52,000 from the button and Bartosz Stasiewicz defended his big blind to see a {6-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop.

Both players checked and then did the same on the {10-Spades} turn. When the {7-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Stasiewicz bet 125,000 and Rudolph called.

Stasiewicz tabled the {9-Spades}{4-Spades} for a straight, and it was good as Rudolph mucked his hand.

Jean Ateba Eliminated in 14th Place ($55,380)

Jean Ateba - 14th Place for $55,380
Jean Ateba - 14th Place for $55,380

Jean Ateba opened with a raise to 48,000 from middle position. Action folded around where Michael Farrow reraised to 123,000 from the cutoff. Back on Ateba and he called.

The flop came down {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Spades} and Ateba checked to Farrow who put out a bet of 88,000. Ateba called.

When the {6-Clubs} came on the turn, Ateba shoved all in for 555,000. Farrow asked for a count and dropped into the tank.

"I feel like you're not bluffing here but..." Farrow said after giving it some thought and tossing in a chip to signify a call. As he did, Ateba let out a heavy sigh.

Ateba: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Farrow: {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The board completed with the {4-Hearts} and that would spell the end of Ateba's tournament. Farrow's trip kings were best and Ateba dropped in 14th place. He will collect $55,380 for his finish.

Titov Loses Lots to Lampropulos

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Oleg Titov found {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} under the gun and raised it up this time, making it 50,000. In the hijack with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, Maria Lampropulos called. David Peters called from the big blind with {9-Spades}{4-Spades}.

The flop of {8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} paired up nobody but gave Lampropulos a flush draw. Peters checked and Titov bet 55,000. Lampropulos called, Peters folded.

With 300,000 in the pot, the {A-Hearts} hit the turn. Titov checked and Lampropulos opted to check behind.

The {5-Spades} completed the board and Titov bet 210,000. Lampropulos called with the better hand and collected the sizable pot.
