Hands #72-74: Bonomo Doubles Through Negreanu

Level 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand 72: Justin Bonomo got a walk in the big blind.

Hand 73: Daniel Negreanu looked down at the {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} on the button and raised to 1.2 million, leaving himself 855,000 behind. Bonomo, who held the {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} in the small blind, used a time extension before moving all in for 1.63 million. Negreanu called to put him at risk.

It was a flip, and Bonomo held on the {j-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop, though Negreanu did pick up a Broadway draw. The {9-Hearts} turn gave him another straight opportunity, but the {9-Clubs} river was a brick.

Negreanu was left with 425,000 after the hand while Bonomo doubled to 3.38 million.

Hand 74: In the last hand of the level, Bonomo raised to 160,000 with the {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} on the button and he won the blinds and antes.
