Small Pots on the Feature Table

Level 15 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Henrik Hecklen raised to 65,000 on the button with {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Sam Greenwood defended from the big blind with {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}. The flop fell {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {3-Hearts} on the turn.

Greenwood checked again and Hecklen threw in a bet of 55,000 to scoop the pot in the last hand before the unofficial final table redraw.

Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen defended big blind from Chris Hunichen, who raised under the gun. The flop came {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Hunichen fired in a big continuation-bet of 110,000. Foxen crammed in for around 440,000 and Hunichen dropped in calling chips right away.

Alex Foxen: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Chris Hunichen: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Foxen needed help but the {k-Clubs} turn and {2-Clubs} river brought none. The last nine are drawing for seats at the final table.

Thorel Makes Big Call, Gets Rivered Before Dinner

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Jean-Noel Thorel
Jean-Noel Thorel

Chris Hunichen raised second to act and got called by Jesus Cortes on his left and big blind Jean-Noel Thorel. The flop came {2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and action checked to Hunichen, and he bet 45,000. Everyone stuck around for the {8-Diamonds} turn. This time, the first two checked and Cortes bet 230,000. Thorel shoved for about 600,000, Hunichen folded and Cortes called.

Jesus Cortes: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Cortes needed to get there but had a ton of outs, and he hit one on the {q-Diamonds} river.

Players are now on dinner break for 80 minutes.

Thorel Wins One, Loses One

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Chris Hunichen opened for 42,000 under the gun and Jean-Noel Thorel called in the small blind, as did Alex Foxen in the big. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Hunichen continued for 50,000, with only Thorel calling. Both players checked the {9-Hearts} and Thorel bet 75,000 on the {9-Diamonds}.

Hunichen called just before his time was up, and his {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} was good against {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

The next hand, Talal Shakerchi raised to 42,000 second to act and got three callers. The flop was {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{k-Clubs} and Shakerchi continuation-bet 76,000 after Hunichen checked in the big blind. Only Thorel, on the button, continued to the {q-Clubs}. Shakerchi checked and folded to a jam from Thorel.

Greenwood Forces Out Better Hands

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick opened to 45,000 from under the gun with {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Sam Greenwood three-bet to 140,000 on the button with {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. Greg Jensen folded pocket eights in the big blind after just arriving at the table and Chidwick called to go heads-up with Greenwood.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Chidwick checked to Greenwood who splashed in a bet of 85,000. Chidwick instantly flew his cards to the muck and Greenwood took down the pot with some aggressive poker.

Hunichen Piles Pressure on Foxen

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

With 200,000 or so in the pot, Alex Foxen checked in middle position on {8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and called 175,000 from Chris Hunichen in the cutoff. On the {q-Clubs} river, Foxen checked and Hunichen jammed for what looked to be 558,000 effective. Foxen used a time extension then winged in his cards to concede the pot.
