Day 3 of the 2019 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event kicks off at noon local time with 79 players out of the 865 coming back to continue to battle it out. They have all locked up $20,980 but they will all have their eyes on the trophy and the first-place prize of $1,567,100.
Leading the way is Pierre Calamusa, from France, with a massive stack of 1,500,000. Calamusa has a 5th place finish in the 2016 EPT Monte-Carlo ($233,800) and will be looking to get closer to a title this time. He is followed by Vincent Bosca (1,138,000) from Spain. Enrico Camosci rounds up the top three with 980,000.
Other big names in the top counts are Matthias Eibinger (894,000), Brian Altman (746,000), Joao Simao (734,000) and Franz Ditz (732,000).
Among some of the other notables still in contention are PokerStars Ambassadors Andre Akkari (390,000) and Randy Lew (134,000), along with Scott Clements (591,000), Chino Rheem (437,000), Dzmitry Urbanovich (366,000), Mike Leah (316,000), and Elliott Smith (176,000).
The action is set to kick off at level 17 with blinds of 3,000/6,000/6,000. The schedule is set to play 90-minute levels and down to 16 players, or as announced, so there is plenty of action to look forward too as we get closer to the title.

Chino Rheem opened and was called by Michael Stembera to see a flop of , which brought a bet of 9,000 by Rheem and a call by Stembera. On the turn, Rheem check-raised from 15,000 to 39,000 and Stembera called to see the on the river. Rheem moved all in and Stembera quickly folded.
One table over, Chase Bianchi in the small blind three-bet an open by Tommy Nguyen on the button to 42,000 and Nguyen called. Bianchi continued on the flop for 36,000 to receive a call. A second barrel on the for 72,000 did the trick to force a fold.

One of the two remaining PokerStars Ambassadors, Andre Akkari, was involved in a hand against Ivan Galinec. The camera's swooped in right off the bat to watch the action between the two unfold.
Akkari was the one that opened the action to 13,000 and Galinec three-bet to 35,000. Akkari slid a call in before both players checked the flop. On the turn, Akkari bet 41,000, Galinec shoved for a little under 200,000 and Akkari called.
