Jimmy Guerrero

Byron Kaverman raised and Brian Altman three-bet the button, then Jimmy Guerrero four-bet shoved out of the big blind. Kaverman folded and Altman was priced in to make the call.

Jimmy Guerrero: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Brian Altman: {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The board of {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{A-Hearts}{4-Spades} gave Altman a flush and Guerrero was done for the day.

"He lost kings to nines and now again with kings," Felipe Pantoja said in table chat.

Smith Felted by Eibinger

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Elliot Smith
Elliot Smith

Over on the live stream table, Elliot Smith was all in for 172,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Matthias Eibinger looked him up with {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

Eibinger picked up a lot more outs on the {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop and the {8-Diamonds} turn, and the {Q-Clubs} river improved the Austrian to send Smith to the rail.

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ian Hunter raised in early position and Filipe Oliveira got his last 145,000 in from the blinds, Hunter called and was in trouble with {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} versus {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. The board came {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{A-Spades}{K-Spades} and the kicker played.

One hand later, Hunter jammed for 100,000 and everyone folded, he flashed {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

Ross Can't Spin it Up

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Eli Ross was down to just eight big blinds and shoved those all in from late position. Ami Barer was the one to make the call from the blinds.

Eli Ross: {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Ami Barer: {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}

It was all but over for Ross after the {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop, although he picked up a backdoor straight draw with the {5-Hearts} turn. The {6-Hearts} on the river was not what he needed and he finished in 59th for $24,760.

Strelitz's Set Fatal for Leah

Mike Leah
Mike Leah

On a {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Spades} flop, Daniel Strelitz shoved after a bet from Mike Leah, and Leah called it off for 460,000 total.

Mike Leah: {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Daniel Strelitz: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Daniel Strelitz held the current lead with a set, leaving the Canadian to draw to a flush. The turn brought the {8-Clubs} and Leah picked up a straight draw to go with the spades, but the river {10-Diamonds} improved him to just an inferior two pair and he was eliminated.

More for Altman; Calamusa Stops Downfall

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On the {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds} turn, Brian Altman checked and called a bet worth 50,000 by Carlos Chadha from one seat over in the under-the-gun position. The {7-Hearts} on the river was checked and Altman tabled {K-Spades}{7-Spades} for two pair to claim yet another pot.

For start-of-the-day chip leader Pierre Calamusa, the trend is heading in the exact opposite direction and he just scooped a small pot to claim back a few chips. Calamusa check-called a bet of 35,000 by Pavel Veksler on the {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} turn and they checked the {10-Clubs} river.

Calamusa showed {A-Spades}{8-Clubs} for top pair and that won the pot.

Nguyen Keeps Building

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On a flop of {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{q-Hearts}, Tommy Nguyen, in the big blind, checked. Aleksandr Gofman, in early position, bet 10,000. Nguyen called.

The turn brought the {k-Diamonds} and Nguyen check-called again a bet of 45,000 from Gofman.

The {a-Diamonds} river completed the board. Both players opted to check. Nguyen tabled {10-Spades}{6-Clubs} for trips and Gofman sent his hand to the muck.

Sarracco Eliminated by Vohra

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Mark Radoja raised to 17,000 and Pasquale Sarracco moved all in for little more from two seats over. Rajesh Vohra called on the button and Scott Clements did so in the big blind.

"Do I have the option to raise?" Radoja inquired, and that wasn't the case, so he just tossed in the extra chips. On the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop, action checked to Vohra and his bet of 30,000 forced folds from Clements and Radoja.

Pasquale Sarracco: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Rajesh Vohra: {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The {K-Hearts} turn and {2-Clubs} river were blanks and Sarracco was eliminated in 55th place.
