Michael Rocco
Michael Rocco

On a completed board of {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} with some 80,000 in the middle, Michael Rocco bet just 9,500 from under the gun. Thomas Boivin reluctantly called with a short stack behind and Rocco revealed the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for aces full to leave the Belgian on the ropes.

Konikova Rejam Folds Out Pocket Jacks

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Maria Konnikova
Maria Konnikova

Maria Konnikova opened to 5,500 from under the gun and Vladislav Solovev called on her direct left. Adrien Vulliet then moved all in for 55,000 from the hijack. Action folded back to Konnikova, who jammed for just under 100,000. Solovev decided to get out of the way, but not before showing he had {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

Adrien Vulliet: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Maria Konnikova: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Konnikova was ahead with her pocket pair, and she was grateful to Solovev for folding and thanked him. The plaudits for Solovev kept coming from Konnikova as she held out to win the pot following the {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} runout.

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Joining the action on the flop with around 40,000 in the pot. Jamil Wakil was under the gun against Joe McKeehen in the hijack.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Wakil check-called the 8,000 bet from McKeehen.

The {q-Diamonds} fell on the river and Wakil paused before sliding a bet of 40,000 out in front of him. McKeehen thought for a bit before deciding to take the call. Wakil showed {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for a flush to take down the pot as McKeehen mucked.

Easy Game for Kulev

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Manig Loeser
Manig Loeser

Alex Kulev made it 60,000 to go pre-flop and action folded around to Manig Loeser to his direct right, who then moved all in for 198,000 total.

This sent Kulev deep into the tank and after several minutes, he finally set out a stack of chips for a call and the cards were tabled, with Loeser at risk.

Manig Loeser: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Alex Kulev: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

"Well, I guess it's a flip, right?" Loeser said and Kulev nodded his head in agreement.

With Kulev already ahead in this most classic of flips, the flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs} was completely safe as Loeser was flopped essentially dead, although he could still hit running jacks for quads.

"Well, not really a flip anymore," Loeser sighed.

The {4-Diamonds} on the turn sealed his fate and the {k-Hearts} on the river only added insult to injury for Loeser as his stack was pushed over to Kulev and he was eliminated from the tournament.

"Didi, this feels like a gift," Rheem mulled it over and then opted to fold.

Tulin Dominates [Removed:555] in Preflop Contest

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Nikolai Tulin
Nikolai Tulin

[Removed:554] raised to 5,000 in the cutoff and the action folded to Nikolai Tulin in the big blind. He eyeballed the stack of his opponent and [Removed:555] immediately mentioned he had started the hand with 43,500 in chips. Tulin grabbed into his T-5,000 chips and piled half a tower in for a raise to 50,000; the all-in call by [Removed:555] followed.

[Removed:554]: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Nikolai Tulin: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The dominated pair gained some equity with a gutshot on the {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and {3-Clubs} turn. However, there was no further help on a blank {10-Spades} river and that spelled the end for [Removed:555].
