$400 No-Limit Hold'em

Day 1 Started

Last Chance for Cash and Prizes

2019 Fall PNPC
2019 Fall PNPC

The Main Event is playing out Day 2 in the special events section of the Club Regent Casino poker room, but for players who can only look longingly on that action, there's still one more chance at glory with the $400 NLHE.

Action gets underway at 1:05 local time, and its sure to be well attended. A whopping 190 players came out for this one during the spring edition of this tournament, so the room will be full once again today.

This past spring, it was Carlo Todaro who took down the big prize as he fought through those 190 runners for the $19,008 first prize. Last fall, it was Darren Penner who ended up with all the chips in this one against 130 runners.

More than money and the hardware is at stake in the last chance event as well. None of the top point holders in the player of the series race made Day 2 of the Main, so the points any of them can gather in the last chance event could be crucial to the final result, especially with the Main Event winner getting more than 1,000 points for a win today.

That would vault the Main Event champ to the top of the list, but a deep run in the $400 event for any of the top players will keep them on top. There'll be lots at stake as cards go in the air at 1:05. PokerNews Canada will be focusing on Main Event coverage, but we'll do our best to keep you updated on the last chance tournament as well.
