Hyun Chips Up Further

Level 6 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

In a heads-up pot to the {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} turn, Sung Joo Hyun checked in the small blind and then called a bet worth 51,000 by his opponent on the button. The {j-Hearts} on the river paired the board for the second time and both checked.

Hyun exposed the {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for a full house and that won the pot.

Hyun Beats Lim in Showdown

Level 6 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Spades} turn, Chin Wei Lim bet 65,000 from a middle position. Sung Joo Hyun called on the button and they headed to the {9-Hearts} on the river. Lim used one time bank to check and Hyun checked back, then flashed his {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} already.

That was good enough to win the pot as Lim mucked to forfeit the pot.

Short Day at the Office for Jung

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Seung Mook Jung was among the recent entries but lost two big pots to hit the rail. First he folded to a shove by Supitong Popiyukkul on the river of a {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} board.

Then he created a pot of more than 200,000 until the {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} turn against Hoang Huy Tran. Jung checked the {7-Spades} river and sigh-called all-in when Tran jammed to get shown the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for aces and fives. Jung nodded, briefly showed {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and quickly left the tournament area.

Zhi Yi Ning

The live stream has caught up on the elimination of Zhi Yi Ning, who got his last 63,000 in before the flop in the most classic of setups against Vincent Huang.

Zhi Yi Ning: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Vincent Huang: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} board left Ning drawing dead on the turn as Huang notched up an elimination.

Saran Gets Chong to Fold

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Heads-up to the {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, Victor Chong check-called a bet worth 30,000 by [Removed:446] and they checked the {k-Spades} on the turn. The {10-Spades} river completed the board and Chong checked the third street in a row. Saran made it 36,000 to go and Chong then announced a raise to 150,000 but put in 250,000 instead.

Saran gave it some thought and reraised while putting in all of his red chips, at which point Chong briefly exposed his {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for trips tens. There was some confusion about the chips but that was sorted shortly after with Chong losing nearly half of his stack.

Ewe Out for a Second Time

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Eng Siang Ewe
Eng Siang Ewe

The cards were already on their backs when a short-stacked Eng Siang Ewe was all-in and at risk with the {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. He had turned a straight on {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Spades} but had to dodge spades, as Quang Nang Nguyen exposed his {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for the nut flush draw.

The {7-Spades} river indeed completed the flush and that sent Ewe to the rail once more.
