Cantong Cannot Connect Versus Montalbano
Level 15
: Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Mary Cantong had previously doubled with Q♣Q♠ to keep her short stack afloat but she would not be able to do so again when the chips go in preflop against table chip leader Nicola Montalbano.
Mary Cantong: K♥Q♦
Nicola Montalbano: A♦9♦
The suited ace prevails when both players miss the J♥J♠8♣J♣5♦ board and the field dropped to just 48 contenders after all was done.
