Welcome to the 2023 Poker Dream Manila PHP500,000 Super High Roller

Poker Dream visits Manila for the First Time

The fourth edition of the up and coming Poker Dream live poker series is heading to Manila, the capital of the Philippines, for the first time. From April 26 until May 7, 2023, nearly three dozen trophies will be awarded with action available for low and high-stakes enthusiasts from near and far.

The Newport World Resorts Integrated Resort in Metro Manila, right across the city's international airport, hosts the events in a large ballroom and the next tournament highlight commences today. One of the pricier events on the schedule is the PHP 500,000 ($9,174) Super High Roller, which is set to play down to a winner on May 2, 2023.

While scheduled to kick off at 3pm local time, there may be a delay to get things started similar to the "White Horse Club" Short Deck Super High Roller, which is currently playing down to a winner.

All players receive 500,000 in chips, which is good enough for more than 300 big blinds in the first level of play. The levels last 40 minutes each for the entire tournament and 11 levels are schedule for the first of two days. Two 15-minute breaks and a 50-minute dinner break are foreseen and the late registration remains open for the first three levels of Day 2.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be providing a brief recap upon completion at the end of the night and full chip counts of all survivors before covering the action until a winner is crowned on the final day.
