Gary Thompson opened to 240,000 with the A♦8♥ and Ajitpal Singh then jammed for 1,600,000 with the A♣6♣, which got through without getting called.

Takashi Ogura limped the K♥8♥ from the small blind next and Thompson checked his option with the Q♠5♥. Both players missed the 9♣6♥2♦ flop and checked it over to the 6♠ turn. Ogura now bet 120,000 for the minimum and Thompson folded.
