Tamagotchi Says Call

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Table 17 looks set to be an action-packed one, with a lot of deep stacks. Two of these did battle in an interesting hand with Justin Chu opening the action with a middle position raise to 4,500, with another deep-stack player, Jae Wook Shin making the call on the button. Sparrow Cheung then three-bet from the small blind to the tune of 22,000 and the action folded back around to Chu.

The Taiwanese player took a little time before moving all-in for over 140,000 and action was back on Shin, who did not take too long to fold and it was back on Cheung. This is where it got interesting, with Cheung reaching into his pocket and consulting his Tamagotchi pet on the next best course of action. After a couple of chirpy interactions, it appeared that Tamagotchi said call, as Cheung slapped down a stack of yellow 1k chips and the cards were revealed.

Sparrow Chueng: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Justin Chu: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} gave Cheung some runner, runner potential, but the {9-Diamonds} turn confirmed a rather anti-climatic chop and both Chung and Chu divvied up the blinds, ante and Shin's call between them.
