Steffen Sontheimer vs. Dominik Nitsche

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Steffen Sontheimer raised to 44,000 from early position and Dominik Nistche defended his big bind. Both players checked the {5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Spades} , and then action repeated itself on the {A-Diamonds} turn.

When the {K-Spades} completed the board on the river, Nitsche led out for 30,000 and then called when Sontheimer raised to 100,000. Sontheimer tabled {a-}{k-} and Nitsche simply mucked.

Ben Lamb Eliminated By Daniel Negreanu

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

Ben Lamb moved all in for his last 141,000 from middle position and Daniel Negreanu isolated by three-betting to 300,000 from the button. Both blinds folded and Lamb discovered the bad news.

Lamb: {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Negreanu: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Spades} and that was all she wrote for Lamb, who exited in 10th place. That means the final nine players will combine down to a single table, though the official final table won't be reached until just seven remain.

Stefan Schillhabel Gets Lucky to Double Through Ben Lamb

Level 17 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Stefan Schillhabel raised to 32,000 holding the {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Ben Lamb three-bet to 89,000 with the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Action folded back to Schillhabel and he moved all in, which prompted a snap-called from Lamb.

Schillhabel was in trouble, but not after the {5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop gave him two pair. The {j-Clubs} turn meant a queen on the river would give Lamb a straight, but it wasn't in the cards as the {4-Diamonds} bricked.

In the next hand after doubling Sean Winter, Dan Smith moved all in from the button for 117,000, which Adrian Mateos called out of the small blind.

Mateos: {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Dan Smith: {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Smith was ahead and held through both the {3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop and {4-Clubs} turn. Unfortunately for him, the {J-Spades} spiked on the river and Mateos claimed the pot.
