Fedor Holz vs. Tom Marchese

Level 19 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

With 470,000 in the pot and a board reading {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{a-Hearts}, Fedor Holz checked from middle position and called when Tom Marchese bet 200,000.

Both players then checked the {10-Clubs} river and Holz showed the {k-Spades}{8-Spades} for a missed flush. Marchese also missed a flush with the {9-Spades}{10-Spades}, but he managed to pair up on the river to win the pot.

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

In the second hand of the day, Christian Christner raised to 45,000 with the {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Fedor Holz called with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Steffen Sontheimer came along from the big blind holding the {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and three players took a flop of {3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, which they all checked.

When the {4-Spades} appeared on the turn, Sontheimer led out for 55,000 and both his opponents folded.

Event #2: $50,000 NLHE of the Poker Masters at the ARIA Resort and Casino began with 50 entrants, but today only seven return for Day 2 action with Christian Christner leading the way.

The other final tablists include none other than Phil Hellmuth, Fedor Holz, Bryn Kenney and Tom Marchese. Also there are Steffen Sontheimer and Adrian Mateos, who both made their second straight Poker Masters final table.

Mateos and Sontheimer can overtake Nick Schulman for first place in the race for The Poker Masters Purple Jacket. Schulman sits atop the leaderboard with his win in Event #1 for $918,000. The winner of Eevent #2 will take home $900,000 even and the final tablists are all guaranteed $125,000.

The player with the best results (highest total earnings) throughout all five Poker Masters tournaments – remember the finale is a $100,000 freezeout – will be deemed champion and awarded The Poker Masters Purple Jacket™.

Today's final table will be live streamed on PokerGO on a 30-minute delay. Our coverage, which will commence at 12:30 p.m. local time, will adhere to the stream so as not to spoil anything for fans.

Also, Event #3: $50,000 NLHE starts today at 2 p.m. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will also be providing complete coverage from that tournament, so be sure to click on over to them from time to time.
