Hands #59-64: Christner Rivers a Flush Against Schillhabel's Straight

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Christian Christner
Christian Christner

Hand #59: Stefan Schillhabel raised to 50,000 on the button with {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Steffen Sontheimer defended his big blind with {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. The flop came {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and both players checked to the {6-Clubs} on the turn. Sontheimer led out for 65,000 and Schillhabel just called. The river brought the {7-Hearts} and both players shut down. Schillhabel's pair of queens took down the pot.

Hand #60: Schillhabel opened to 50,000 again from the cutoff with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Seth Davies called from the big blind with {10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. The flop came {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Davies check-folded to a bet of 40,000 from Schillhabel.

Hand #61: Justin Bonomo raised to 45,000 from the cutoff with {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Fedor Holz shipped all-in from the big blind with {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Bonomo being the short stack at the table, mucked his cards and Holz won the pot.

Hand #62: Davies raised to 50,000 from the button with {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and picked up the blinds and antes.

Hand #63: Davies raised to 45,000 from the cutoff with {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and was called by Christner in the small blind with {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Schillhabel in the big blind with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} and the action was checked around to the {8-Diamonds} on the turn. Christner checked again and Schillhabel fired 125,000 into the middle with an open-ended straight draw. Christner called with the nut flush draw.

The {q-Diamonds} on the river hit both players and Christner checked again. Schillhabel bet 205,000 and Christner shipped all-in for 550,000. Schillhabel straightened up in his seat in frustration and reluctantly called. Christner tabled the nut flush and scored a big double up.

Hand #64: Sontheimer raised to 40,000 under the gun with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Fedor Holz called from the cutoff with {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Christner also called on the button with {a-Spades}{q-Spades} and the flop came {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Sontheimer checked his overpair and Holz fired 90,000 which was called by Christner. Sontheimer check-raised to 330,000 and both of his opponents folded.
