Marchese Binks River to Survive After Three-Outer

Level 16 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Tom Marchese shoved for 95,000 and David Eldridge called in the big blind.

Eldridge: {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Marchese: {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Marchese had a dominating spot, but the {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop left him in bad shape. The {6-Spades} turned, and Marchese began sliding his stack in, only to see the {8-Diamonds} river give both players identical straights for a chop.

Tom Marchese Bubbles Event #1, Matthias Eibinger Eliminated in 10th Place ($20,700)

Level 17 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Matthias Eibinger - 10th place
Matthias Eibinger - 10th place

From middle position, Tom Marchese raised to 75,000 and Brandon Adams three-bet next to act in the hijack to 150,000. From the big blind, Matthias Eibinger called, and Marchese called all in for 110,000.

The dealer spread a {8-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop and Eibinger bet out 175,000 and Adams called.

The turn fell the {5-Spades} and Eibinger announced he was all in for 790,000. Adams paused for a moment, and then called.

Marchese: {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Eibinger: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Adams: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Marchese was drawing dead with third pair against Adams' flopped set, and Eibinger's overpair and gutshot straight draw.

The river landed the {3-Diamonds}, and Adams would score the double knockout sending Marchese out in 11th place on the money bubble, while Eibinger would collect $20,700 for his 10th place finish.

Green on Fumes

Level 17 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Brian Green shoved on the button for 350,000. Isaac Haxton called for less in the small blind holding {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Green had {a-Spades}{3-Hearts} and the sweat was a short one as the flop brought {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

"That's a lot of sixes," Haxton observed.

After the meaningless last two cards were dealt, Green was left with 115,000. He got them in with {a-Spades}{2-Hearts} and big blind Cary Katz called with {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

"I'll bet it's a chop," Green said.

It didn't look like it after {2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} flopped. Katz, however, paired his three when the {3-Hearts} arrived to leave Green in dire straights. Sure enough, though, as Green predicted, it was a chop: {4-Diamonds} river to give both players wheels, bringing a round of laughs from everyone.

Adams Continuing to Rise

Level 17 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Ali Imsirovic opened to 60,000 from under the gun, and Brandon Adams called on the button.

The flop landed {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Imsirovic checked to Adams who bet 110,000. Imsirovic check-raised to 270,000, and Adams called as the turn fell the {J-Hearts}.

Imsirovic checked, Adams bet 350,000 after being forced to use a time extension chip, and Imsirovic open-folded his {A-Spades}{2-Spades}.

As Adams was pushed the pot, he stated, "You can pick one."

Imsirovic gestured to one of the cards, and it was revealed to be the {Q-Clubs}.

Cord Garcia raised to 60,000 from under the gun and David Peters called in the small blind, as did Cary Katz in the big.

The flop landed {J-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Spades} and Peters checked to Katz who bet all in for his last 175,000. Garcia folded, and Peters called.

David Peters: {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Cary Katz: {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Despite being massively ahead, the board ran out with the {2-Diamonds} on the turn and the {9-Hearts} on the river, eliminating Katz in 9th place.
