Soft Hand-for-Hand

Level 15 : 8,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

The tournament director announced he's now keeping track of the pace of play hand-by-hand, and if one table falls more than two hands behind, action will be paused on the other tables.

Kenney Gets Big Value from Smith

Level 15 : 8,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Dan Smith checked from the small blind on {8-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{q-Spades} and Bryn Kenney bet 84,000 out of the big, which looked to be roughly a pot-sized bet. Smith called and they saw an {8-Spades} river. Smith checked and Kenney slid in 225,000 just before his timer was up. Smith verbalized a call after some thinking, and Kenney tabled {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for tens full.

Dan Shak

Justin Bonomo opened to 30,000 in the cutoff and Dan Shak three-bet to 130,000 from the big blind.

Bonomo announced he was all in for roughly one million, and Shak snap-called for his 378,000.

Bonomo: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Shak: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Shak's aces held up to ensure his double to nearly 800,000 in chips.

Petrangelo on Fumes After Doubling Koon

Level 15 : 8,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Action folded to Nick Petrangelo and he moved in from the small blind. Jason Koon called it off for 166,000 in the big.

Koon: {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Petrangelo: {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The flop came {2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Koon suddenly had a lot more cards to dodge. The {9-Diamonds} turn was a welcome sight for him as it removed some of Petrangelo's outs, and the {4-Clubs} was a safe river.
