The 2026 U.S. Poker Open rolls on today with Event #2: $5,000 NLH. The event starts at noon and is the second of three event this series with a $5,000 buy-in.
The two-day event features a 125,000-starting stack, worth 125 big blinds at Level 1. Levels are 30 minutes, with a break after every four levels. Registration is open until the start of Level 9, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Up to two reentries are permitted during the late registration period. The plan is to play until six players remain, with the final table resuming on Monday, April 13, at 11:45 a.m. to play to a winner.
The series kicked off yesterday with Event #1: $5,000 NLH, which saw Jeremy Ausmus bag a dominating lead at the end of the night with five players remaining and nearly half the chips in play.
The last $5,000 buy-in event of the series starts at noon on April 13, after which the buy-in increases to $10,000 for the next four events. The stakes will increase further for the conclusion of the series, which features two tournaments at the $15,000 buy-in level before a $25,000 finale.
