Julian Powell Eliminated

Julian Powell limped in from early position, and three more players limped behind him. The flop was {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}. The action was checked around to Powell, who moved all in for his remaining 1,750, and Kit Manoel called. Powell turned up {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} while Manoel held straight and flush draws with the {J-Spades}{4-Spades}. The turn was the {A-Spades}, giving Powell a set, but the river was the disastrous {7-Spades}, making Manoel's flush and eliminating Powell from the tournament.

John Caldwell Busto

John "Schecky" Caldwell has been eliminated from Event #1. He moved all in with 8-8 and he ran into players holding 10-10 and pocket Queens. His hand could not improve and he headed to the rail.

Although Caldwell had an early exit, he got some good news. His lovely wife, Jen Leo, won a tournament back home in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood casino.

Chris Wood= New Chip Leader

All the money went in on a flop of {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} with Chris Wood holding {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for top pair and a flush draw and his opponent showing {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} for a set. The turn was the {K-Clubs}, making his opponent a full house and leaving Wood drawing to only the two remaining aces or Kings. Wouldn't you know, the river was the {A-Clubs} and Wood dragged the 18,000 pot, catapulting him to the top of the leaderboard.
