The Fashion Report: Gursel Ali's Track Suit Returns

As we reported earlier this week, Gursel Ali seems overly fond of the track suit he wore during his Victorian Poker Championships win this summer. The jumper and pants combo made an appearance during Event #1 and guess what? It's back again today.

Do you think he'd take me up on a shopping trip? There are many fine retailers here at the Crown Promenade that I'm sure would love his business.

Leo Boxell Eliminated

On a flop of J-J-2, Leo Boxell bet 1,000 and Tony Dunst moved all in.

"A three-day event and you're all in during the first hour?" asked Boxell before making the call.

Boxell turned up K-J for trips, but Dunst had flopped a boat with 2-2. The turn was a seven, the river an eight, and Boxell was eliminated.

The Australian Poker League (APL) has sent over 35 entries to this tournament, via their national tournament series. In somewhat of an anomaly in the random seating generator, they have all been seated on the same tables.

We caught up with APL co-founder Martin Martinez just before the start of play today. Stay tuned to our PokerNews Video Gallery to view all the action and antics from the floor of the Crown Poker Room.
