Abraham Daoud Eliminated by Aleks Lakovic

On the last hand of the night, Aleks Lakovic raised to 5,000 from the cutoff, Abraham Daoud re-raised to 14,000 from the button and Lakovic called. The flop was {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and both players checked. The turn was the {7-Spades}. Lakovic bet 20,000 and after a minute in the tank, Daoud called all in for his last 17,000.

Lakovic {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Daoud {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The river was the {7-Spades} and Daoud was eliminated, just as the clock ran out on the night's last level.

David Meffert Coolered and Crippled

A 150,000 pot developed before the flop, with Tim Baliban all in for his tournament life. His opponent, David Meffert, had him slightly covered.

Baliban {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Meffert {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The flop was {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, the turn was the {Q-Hearts}, the river was the {8-Clubs} and Baliban's aces held up to drag the massive pot. Once near the top of the leaderboard, Meffert is now down to only 15,000 in chips.

Aleks Lackovic Slow Rolls Jonny Vincent

Yo-yo not so happy after getting slow rolled
Yo-yo not so happy after getting slow rolled
I caught the action on the flop of {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}. There was 50,000 in the pot and Jonny Vincent was heads up with Aleks Lackovic. From his small blind, Lackovic pushed all in for his last 29,700. Vincent went into the tank.

"I'm miles ahead of his range," said Vincent aloud as he stood up.

"Sit down, Yo-yo," shot back Lackovic. "No one is ahead of my range."

Lackovic stood up on his chair and fodled his arms.

"You got to have A-10," said Vincent. "Maybe A-9? I need time to think."

Vincent tanked for a couple of more minutes as Lackovic continued to stand on his chair. A small crowd of players and media gathered around the table.

"Alright," said Vincent as he tossed 30,000 in yellow chips into the pot and called.

Vincent quickly flipped over {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} for a pair of Aces. Lackovic picked up his cards and showed it to a couple of players standing behind him. It took him almost twenty seconds before he tabled his cards. He slow rolled {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

"And you had to slow roll me, didn't you?" said Vincent.

Vincent was behind Lackovic who flopped two pair. The turn was the {3-Spades} and Vincent picked up a flush draw. The river was the {6-Hearts}. Lackovic dragged the pot and increased his stack to over 110,000. Vincent slipped to 35,000.

Damon Rasheed Eliminated

Damon Rasheed
Damon Rasheed
Damon Rasheed was crippled when he ran pocket Queens into pocket Kings. He busted out soon after. Although Rasheed is out of the tournament, the good news is that he's still as ruggedly handsome as he's ever been.

Eric Assadourian Eliminated

Abraham Daoud raised to 5,000 from the cutoff, Eric Assadourian moved all in from the button for 10,000 and Daoud called. Assadourian turned up A-J, dominating Daoud's Q-J. However, the flop came down Q-9-3, making Daoud top pair. The turn was a 7, the river a T, and the brash young gun headed for the rail.

Hank the Tank

On a board of {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{K-Clubs}, Martin Comer moved all in for 82,500. Hank Hennigan went into the tank for several minutes. He only had 73,500 left in chips and took forever to make a decision. His entire tournament life was at stake.

"If I fold, will you show me?" Hennigan asked.

"Sure," assured Comer.

Hennigan continued to be in the tank and looked up the ceiling for another minute as he muttered to himself.

"F**k it," he said. "I call."

Hennigan slammed his cards on the table and exposed {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} for a set. Comer said it was good and mucked his hand. Hennigan dragged a monster pot worth over 150,000, as Comer slipped to 9,000.

Mel Judah Eliminated

K-K no goot for Mel
K-K no goot for Mel
Michael Dunworth raised to 4,800 from the small blind, Mel Judah moved all in from the big blind for 28,000 and Dunworth called. Judah turned up K-K, in good shape against Dunworth's A-Q. The flop, though, was A-9-2, pairing Dunworth's ace and leaving Judah drawing only to the two remaining kings. The turn was a 9, the river was a 3, and Judah headed to the rail, 30 minutes from the end of Day 1.
