Theo's Thoughts from the Floor

Our floor reporter, Theo, had some interesting thoughts about the last few minutes of play. Here they are:

Julian Powell - Give him some tissues! Powell just lost a 20K pot and is not happy about it.

Waiter Crash - A waiter walked into the steel railing in the poker room and almost dislocated his hip.

Sarne Lightman - Sarne has not seen much light at the moment, but his wife Ali is still alive with 19,000 in chips.

Damon Rasheed - "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful..."
All the money went in on the turn, the board reading {K-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Damon Rasheed turned up {2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for two pair while his opponent showed 5-6 for a straight. The river, though, was the {2-Diamonds} making Rasheed deuces full and he doubled up to 58,300.

Gary Benson's tournament came to an end whe his opponent moved all in on a flop of Q-T-X, having him covered. Benson made the call and turned up A-Q only to discover he had run into a set of tens. No help for Benson on the turn or the river and the newly crowned Australian Bad Boys Champion made his exit.
