Carl Booth opened to 80,000 from the cutoff and Michel Bouskila moved all-in from the small blind. It folded back to Booth who thought a bit before folding. Bouskila adds 100,000 to his stack.
Preflop, action folded to Carl Booth in the small blind who limped in. Con Tsapkounis checked his option in the big blind and they took a flop.
On the flop Booth led 25,000 with Tsapkounis pumping it to 65,000. Booth made the call and they took a turn. Both players checked the turn and moved to the river .
On the river Booth checked-called an 80,000 chip bet from Tsapkounis.
Tsapkounis rolled over to scoop the pot with two pair, while Booth flashed the and mucked.
On the flop Joe Cabret and Lawrence Gibson checked to Carl Booth. Booth bet 180,000 and Cabret raised him to 450,000. Gibson got out of the way and Booth moved all in for 381,000 more. Cabret made the call leaving about 200,000 chips behind.
The crowd at the rail, who were keenly anticipating the massive pot, were disappointed as Cabret tabled and Booth for a chopped pot.
The dealer burned and turned the irrelevant turn and river and split the pot.
Booth had a warning for Cabret after the hand, “I promise if you push me, I’ll push back” said Booth.
Cabret wasn’t bothered. “Sounds good to me,” he said in a relaxed tone.
