Martin Kabrhel in Chatty Mood As Usual

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

On a {10-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} river and with around 55,000 in the middle already, action was on Martin Kabrhel.

"Journalist!" he said, "I have to play responsible." He bet 19,500.

His opponent thought for a bit. Kabrhel reached out as if to take the pot already and the dealer was on hand to ensure that no such thievery took place.

"Write down that he is playing very good, but very slow."

Eventually, Kabrhel's opponent folded showing the {a-Diamonds}.

"What the heck!" exclaimed Kabrhel, "Last time I saw that play? 1968. But I can't complain. I think its the fold of the day!"

Susta Raise-Folds Kings on the Bubble

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Paul van Alst
Paul van Alst

Petr Susta started the hand with a stack of around 15 big blinds, and opened to 15,000 from middle position. It folded to Paul van Alst in the big blind who three-bet all in for over 200,000.

Van Alst spoke with his opponent at length while Susta deliberated.

"At worst I have 40%," he said, "I want a fold but if you call then I suppose that's ok too."

After a while, Van Alst called the clock. No sooner had he done so, Susta open-mucked {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} face-up on the table.

The whole table gasped and Philipp Zukernik damn-near fell out of his chair in shock.

"I had three outs," said Van Alst, "But I think you knew that."

Play remains two eliminations from the money.

Action Man Bubbles 2017 PokerNews Cup

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Action Man
Action Man

It folded to Action Man on the button who moved all in for 34,000. The even shorter-stacked Paulina Rimkute folded the small blind and Barrelnbink called in the big blind.

There was a pause as the players waited for action at all other tables to finish before the cards were turned over:

Action Man: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Barrelnbink: {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{2-Clubs} meaning Barrelnbink moved into the lead.

"Seat open," muttered Martin Kabrhel on the rail as the {a-Hearts} hit the turn. The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Action Man bubbled the Main Event, with all other players guaranteed a min-cash of €589.

Rimkute Eliminated by Mi**Zocky

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Paulina Rimkute
Paulina Rimkute

Paulina Rimkute had sat patiently through the bubble hand at her table, whilst simultaneously complaining of being card dead for extended periods of the day.

In this hand Mi**Zocky moved all in from the button for his last 45,500 and Rimkute got her last 21,000 in from the small blind. The big blind folded and the cards were turned over.

Mi**Zocky: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Rimkute: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

It was a flip and Rimkute watched as the flop came king-high, but with an eight {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

The turn came the {9-Spades} and the river the {a-Hearts} and she was eliminated.

The Big Bang Theory

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Timur Caglan
Timur Caglan

Defending champion Timur Caglan stayed under the radar thus far but that suddenly changed. He was just moved tables with a monster stack and Rifat Gegic came over to the media desk. "Did you see that one?" he asked and then explained his massive clash.

Caglan had raised from under the gun and Gegic three-bet to 65,000 on the button. Irakli Kemularia called on the small blind, as did Caglan. On the {Q-}{10-}{10-} flop, Gegic and Caglan got it in and the former flipped over pocket kings. Caglan had tens for quads and scored a massive double.

Martin Kabrhel Eliminated

Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Just before the blinds went up, Martin Kabrhel was sent to the rail by Zurab Ejibia. The pot was already more than 120,000 and the flop showed {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Ejibia checked and Kabrhel bet 15,000 with some chips behind. Ejibia raised to 80,000 and was eventually called.

Martin Kabrhel: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Zurab Ejibia: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}

"Pocket aces. Hmm, nice hand," Kabrhel said while the board completed with the {5-Diamonds} turn and {J-Spades} river to eliminate Kabrhel in 64th place.

"That's Disgusting"

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Marek Blasko
Marek Blasko

Marek Blasko three-bet to 120,000 and left himself just 3,000 behind against Bariskaan Cinitas. The flop came {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} and the remaining chips of Blasko went in, he tabled the {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

By then, Cinitas had already turned over his {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for top set and all what Blasko could say was "that's disgusting," referring to the tremendous run of Cinitas on this very table. The {7-Diamonds} turn and {3-Hearts} river were just a formality and Cinitas increased his lead.

The Meltdown is Complete

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Bariskaan Cinitas
Bariskaan Cinitas

Bariskaan Cinitas defended his big blind and put Holger Bansner at risk on a flop of {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Bansner called for 440,000 with the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and Cinitas showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. The {4-Diamonds} turn was a massive sweat, but a blank {J-Clubs} river changed nothing.

Soon after, Cinitas got his last five big blinds in with the {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Bansner called in the big blind with {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The board c ame {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and that was it for Cinitas.
