Nguyen Cautious With Broadway; Hopper's Chips Abandoned

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

An eventful couple of hands occurred at table 33, as action was three ways on a flop of {j-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. From middle position, Kyle Arora bet 10,000 and Ky Nguyen called from the small blind, while Rachel Hopper got out of the way in the big blind.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} to pair the board. Both players checked. The river was the {k-Hearts}. Nguyen checked. Arora bet 36,000 into a pot of about 45,000. Nguyen thought for about 30 seconds before he called.

Arora tabled the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} which Nguyen has crushed with {a-Spades}{10-Spades} broadway. A few players at the table raised their eyebrows at what Nguyen tabled considering the tank before the call and he gathered the pot.

The next hand at the same table Hopper was all in with {j-}{8-} against Carlos Loving's {a-}{j-}, the board ran out safe for Loving and Hopper was eliminated... or so she thought as she left the tournament area swiftly. But it was determined that he had 5,000 left and the floor and dealer, as well as some other players, attempted to call her back. But she was long gone from the room and amongst the rest of the busy casino. Her five 1,000 chips remained at her spot, on the button, still alive for a full orbit as she was not officially out yet.
