Negreanu and Bonomo Battle It Out

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

A huge battle for power and chips kicked off at the table shared by Dan Colman, Justin Bonomo and Daniel Negreanu. Negreanu was the aggressor, making it 22,000 to go preflop. Dan Colman was one of two players who called to a flop of {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} , whereupon Negreanu c-bet to 27,000. The other player involved got out of the way, but Colman made it 90,000.

Negreanu looked shocked, but he acted strong, moving all-in for roughly 240,000. Bonomo let it go, and Negreanu has put himself in a great position for a deep run...without showing cards.

Troyanovskiy Suffers Another Beat, Busts

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy got it in with {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} all in before the flop against the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} of Dan Colman. The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Trpyanovskiy made his exit while shaking his head.

With the bust out of Troyanovskiy, the tournament is down to 24 players and a redraw is in the works. There was some stalling going on at one of the table awaiting the redraw, but that should now be done with.

Get Short

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Nobody is as short as Kevin Hart (as he was the first one to bust two bullets today), but there are several players in need of a double up:

Charlie Carrel Knocks Out Newey

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

Charlie Carrel and Paul Newey got it all into the middle pre-flop, and with Newey at risk, the famously loud-shirted player, in his element right here in the Bahamas, was in dreadful shape. He held {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, but Carrel, who has enjoyed a spectacularly successful last twelve months, including a runner-up in the $100,000 Super High Roller just yesterday here at the PokerStars Championships, held {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

The board of {10-Spades}{A-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} did nothing to help Newey and he was on his feet by the turn. Carrel marches on with that busting, and he's feeling good up at 235,000.

Haxton Eliminated

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Isaac Haxton moved in for his last 110,000 or so from middle position. Zachary Clark in the small blind pushed all in over the top for just a bit more and got it heads up as his neighbor folded. Haxton had found a suited king to shove with but turned out to be dominated:

Zachary Clark: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Isaac Haxton: {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and besides some hopes on the turn, Haxton went out without much excitement.

Erik Seidel had busted before him but details of his last hand have not been recorded. Down to 21 players.

Cooler Ends Clark's Tourney

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Ben Tollerene opened for 27,000 under the gun plus one and Mustapha Kanit three-bet to 77,000 from the button. Zachary Clark in the big blind cold four-bet shoved for about 320,000 and Tollerene instantly folded. Kanit called just as quick.

Zachary Clark: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Mustapha Kanit: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Clark said his goodbyes.

Kaverman Eliminates Shak to Take the Lead

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Byron Kaverman
Byron Kaverman

Byron Kaverman and Dan Shak clashed in a massive pot, one that would eventually give Kaverman the lead in the tournament.

With 70,000 in the pot preflop, Kaverman bet 25,000 on a flop of {5-Spades}{A-Hearts}{2-Clubs} , but was raised to 115,000 by Shak. Kaverman made the call and the two men saw turn of {7-Diamonds}. That was when Shak moved all-in for his remaining stack of around 140,000, and Kaverman took his time, but he made the call, turning over {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} to Shak's {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. Shak needed a three-outer miracle and it didn't come, the insignificant {9-Hearts} completing the board and sending Shak out of the door.

Kaverman has a massive stack of 900,000 chips - the biggest in the tournament with just 20 players left.

Carrel Busto, Aido Crippled, Dvoress Richer

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Charlie Carrel shoved for 130,000 from the cutoff and on the button Daniel Dvoress over pushed for 241,000. Big blind Sergio Aido called to put them both at risk.

Charlie Carrel: {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Daniel Dvoress: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Sergio Aido: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

Mustapha Kanit was rooting for Carrel and shouted "The heater is real!" after the flop came {Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. The {8-Spades} on the turn and {2-Diamonds} on the river were blanks however and Carrel made his exit. Aido down to just under starting stack.
