Perkins and McKeehen Crushing Early

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Bill Perkins defended his big bind from an Oleksii Khoroshenin cutoff open and checked a {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop. Khoroshenin bet 6,000 and Perkins made it 18,000 to go. Khoroshenin called, and Perkins jammed on the {9-Spades} turn. Khoroshenin considered briefly and mucked.

At another table, we found Joe McKeehen sliding forward a big bet of 57,000 on a board of {8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Big blind Justin Bonomo quickly cut out calling chips and slid them in. McKeehen turned over {j-Spades}{9-Spades} ad Bonomo immediately showed what looked like {k-}{9-} before realizing it wasn't a chop as McKeehen held a jack-high straight. The pink-haired American mucked, and the former World Series of Poker champ added to stack that's challenging for the lead.
