Timothy Adams Eliminated in 4th Place (HK$1,060,000)

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Timothy Adams

The busts outs are coming thick and fast and hot on the heels of Zuo Wang’s departure and we lose another player. The man on the chopping block this time around was Timothy Adams, who moved all-in from the button for 574,000.

Small blind Oliver Weis looked down at his cards and instantly announced he was all in and Mikita Badziakouski folded from the big blind to take play heads-up.

Timothy Adams: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Oliver Weis: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} and Adams headed for the rail while Weis stacked up to 1.6 million in chips.

Zuo Wang Eliminated in 5th Place (HK$830,000)

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Zuo Wang
Zuo Wang

First to act, Zuo Wang moved all in and the action folded to Mikita Badziakouski in the small blind. He asked for a count and the shove was for 538,000 in total.

"You busted me from the last one, now is my time for revenge," Badziakouski said with a smile and then took a few more seconds before announcing all in. Once Canlin Chen had folded in the big blind, Wang asked "you got a pair?" and Badziakouski shook his head, which relieved Wang.

Zuo Wang: {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Mikita Badziakouski: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The flop of {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} sent Badziakouski in the lead, and he stayed there on the {J-Diamonds} turn and {2-Hearts} river as well. Wang racked up his third cash in a (Super) High Roller event during this festival at the PokerStars Live Macau poker room, and claimed a payday of HK$830,000 (~106,826) for his efforts. All remaining four hopefuls already have HK$1,060 locked up, which equals $136,428.

John Junada Eliminated in 6th Place (HK$645,000)

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
John Juanda

It was not long after the departure of Nick Petrangelo before the first paying casualty of the final table occurred.

Mikita Badziakouki should have been dealt the {a-Clubs} in the big blind as his second card but it flipped over after bouncing off his monster chip stack meaning he received another hole card.

Sitting under-the-gun John Juanda moved all-in for his last 180,000 and action folded around to Badziakouski who called quickly.

John Juanda: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Mikita Badziakouski: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

In a cruel quirk of fate Badziakouski ended up with a better hand and Juanda one less out. Badziakouski’s pocket pair held when the board ran out {3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} {8-Clubs} {3-Hearts} and the Juanda’s deep run was over.

Nick Petrangelo Bubbles the Second Single-Day High Roller in Macau

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

The old level saw a limp of Oliver Weis in the small blind and Mikita Badziakouski raised it up to 75,000 in order to force a fold. Badziakouski raised the next hand to claim the big blind of Nick Petrangelo to further build his stack.

Then, Badziakouski made it 90,000 to go in the cutoff and Petrangelo moved all in from one seat over. It folded back to Badziakouski, who asked for a quick count and then called the shove for 132,000. "Maybe I didn't look at my cards and just pretended to," Badziakouski said in table chat while the cards were turned over.

Nick Petrangelo: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Mikita Badziakouski: {Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}

The flop of {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} gave Badziakouski two pair, and the {2-Clubs} turn and {7-Spades} river let the money bubble burst. All remaining players have HK$645,000 guaranteed for their efforts, which equals approximately $83,015.

Smith Runs Out of Chips

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Dan Smith raised to 65,000 and left himself 5,000 behind before the action was on Mikita Badziakouski on the button. He checked the stacks of the players behind him before moving all in, and Nick Petrangelo as well as John Juanda in the blinds quickly folded. Smith called and was in need of help.

Dan Smith: {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Mikita Badziakouski: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

Smith pointed towards his ten, but the flop of {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{2-Spades} left him in even more desperate shape. It was all over after the {9-Diamonds} turn, and the {A-Diamonds} river even gave Badziakouski a full house. Smith narrowly missed out on a cash here in Macau and the event is now on the pure money bubble.

Chen Doubles Through Petrangelo

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Canlin Chen opened the action with a raise to 57,000 from early position and action folded around to Mikita Badziakouski in the small blind, who re-raised to 150,000.

Big blind Nick Petrangelo asked both players how much they had before moving all-in, putting Chen to a tough decision.

The Chinese player burned through a time bank chip (he had all three) before making the call for his tournament life and Badziakouski got out of the way.

Nick Petrangelo: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Canlin Chen: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{q-Spades}{4-Diamonds} to give Chen the double, which he celebrated with a fist pump.

Double For Smith, Derwiche Departs

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Imad Derwiche
Imad Derwiche

Comeback kid Dan Smith is hanging on to his tournament life with a very firm grip. The US player survived a battle of the blinds against Zuo Wang with the two players getting all the chips in pre-flop.

Dan Smith: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Zuo Wang: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Smith hit the {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop and improved on the {k-Hearts} turn, but had to endure a sweat and fade Wang’s heart draw. The {3-Diamonds} river saw Smith double to a little over 80,000.

Imad Derwiche departed a few hands later after moving all-in for his last 54,000 and Wang re-popped to 100,000 from the button to isolate.

Imad Derwiche: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Zuo Wang: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Unlike Smith the short-stacked Derwiche could not find any help when the board ran out {10-Spades}{j-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and the Frenchman departed in ninth place to bring the final table down to eight.
